As an Eligibility Operations Trainee, you will spend your first 6 months as a learner in the field of social services work. As a trainee, you will participate in 6-8 weeks of paid classroom training to prepare you for work with the DHHS, adults, and families. Once complete with classroom and on the job training you will be promoted to an Eligibility Operations Worker and receive a pay increase up to $17.050. This position is essential in providing Nebraskan's access to programs and assistance. On a day-to-day basis you will be reviewing applications for assistance and determining eligibility, which may include interaction via telephone in order to collect, verify, or update financial and demographic information. This will require accessing computer databases to document information with extreme accuracy. In this
