Internship Summary
The IT Intern will support NAICA's technology operations, including device setup, troubleshooting, account support, and on-site technical assistance. Key Responsibilities
Provide first-level support for staff across NAICA shelters, housing programs, and administrative offices.
Assist with imaging, configuring, and deploying desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
Support account setup, password resets, and access permissions under supervision.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; escalate as needed.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment across multiple NAICA locations.

Assist with onboarding/offboarding tech tasks, including email setup, ID creation, equipment retrieval, etc.
Log, update, and close helpdesk tickets in NAICA's ticketing system.

Currently enrolled in a program related to IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or similar.

Position Summary:

Every day across New York City, hundreds of low-income families end up in the various housing courts seeking immediate assistance as they have been evicted or are facing eviction within the next 24 hours. These critical cases require immediate action. Under this program, a team of supervisors, attorneys, and paralegals will operate as an emergency response team to provide representation to these clients. The ERT provides clients with legal and social services, with the dual objectives of preventing the immediate threat of homelessness, and stabilizing families over time to reduce the risk of homelessness in partnership with social services agencies.
Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to addressing fundamental issues of poverty and justice within a comprehensive civil legal services model of representation. The Supervising Attorneys report to the Director of the Tenant Defense Housing practice for the assigned borough as well as to the Attorney-in-Charge of the City-wide Housing practice. The Supervising Attorneys will be responsible for the smooth and effective running of the Project in the assigned office. The Supervising Attorneys will also coordinate some grant projects, be a mentor to and supervise new and experienced staff and provide legal leadership in working with other staff to prioritize legal issues. The Supervising Attorneys are involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations and work closely with the Director, other Supervising Attorneys, Staff Attorneys, Paralegals to train, supervise and mentor staff. The Supervising Attorneys participate in Practice-wide management discussions and decision-making and are responsible for maintaining relationships with other stakeholders in the legal, court, and service communities.

Required qualifications:
Admission to the New York State Bar

REPORTS TO: Program Manager, Bedford Hills Children's Center STATUS: Part-time SCHEDULE: 24 hours/week Weekends required
Salary: $18.00 per hour
Located in the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, the Playroom Coordinator provides civilian coverage of the Playroom and attached outdoor play space within the facility Visiting Room. The Playroom Coordinator is responsible to oversee and run all aspects of the Children's Center's visitation efforts, working in collaboration with other members of The Children's Center staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all operations of the Playroom such as: ensuring that any cards/games signed out of the playroom are returned before closing, ensuring that playroom is neat and clean, ensuring that scissors are accounted for at all times and maintain a safe environment for families.
Design appropriate programming and activities for mothers and children of varying ages - such as holiday-specific crafts the moms and children can do together, keeping in mind that a two year old might do a drawing and a ten year old might use glue and glitter.
Interview, train and supervise inmate staff and volunteers as needed.
Manage and order supplies.
Ensure that program resources and budget are efficiently used; work within budget parameters for supplies, equipment and events.
Chaperone unaccompanied children to and from the hospitality center as well as Chaperone unaccompanied children to the FRP trailer site, when necessary.
Oversee visits and acting as a liaison with families - being aware of any behavioral issues, foul language or visits that you see a mother is struggling with and notifying the Social Worker.
Maintain and submit accurate, thorough and timely data, including attendance numbers and Birthday Nook numbers on a monthly and a quarterly basis to the Program Director.
Collaborate with the Program Manager as needed to coordinate upcoming visits and other Children Center staff as needed and requested by Program Director.
Liaise with the Parenting Education supervisor to coordinate parenting education opportunities for women participating in visitation programs.
Comply with all prison procedures, processes and requirements, including all security regulations and PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) requirements.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION
High School or GED.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Experience working with children.
Experience working in a prison setting preferred.
The ability to work cooperatively with DOCCS and staff.

Wednesday: 10:00am- 3:00pm
Thursday: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Friday: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Saturday: 8:45am- 3:30pm
Sunday: 8:45am - 3:00pm
Will be expected to work the following holiday schedule: Labor Day, Memorial Day, Columbus-Day and Martin Luther King Day
Punctuality is essential and expected, especially on program visit days.
This role requires the successful completion of a background check to be conducted by the Department of Corrections & Community Supervision in accordance with their protocols and procedures.

Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an English Language Arts (ELA) Tutor to provide academic support to students from grades 2-12. Under the direction of the Education Director, tutors spend the majority of their time providing individual or small-group tutoring. Additional time may be spent leading Reading or Writing Clubs, working with reading students and test prep for ELA exams. Tutors are responsible for planning their own lessons and finding materials, but the Education Director will support them strongly so that all lessons work toward strong student outcomes. The position varies, as student's needs change. This is a good fit for an experienced, eager tutor or teacher who is adaptable and excited to become an integral part of the Boys' Club.
Responsibilities
Create and provide literacy and writing-based lesson plans for tutoring sessions.
Provide tutoring or manage a group of up to four boys during tutoring sessions.
Provide academic support in English/Language arts, especially writing for students in grades 2-12.
Observe and track member's progress and attendance, through logs, diagnostics, incentive systems, etc.
Reinforce positive student behavior and clubhouse rules; maintain a positive relationship with all members, families and staff.
Write, implement and adapt a curriculum and training methods that meets participants' interests.
Prepare class materials, curriculum, and bulletin displays, and make copies as needed.
Attends required department meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with a focus in English, Education, literacy, and/or other highly relevant field is preferred
At least 2 years of experience as a reading/ English/ writing tutor or classroom teacher
Comfort with students and ELA subject content from early literacy through upper high school level
Strong knowledge of best practices with prewriting, composition and grammar skills
Teacher certification or formal education experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of NYC school standards a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and to address the varying needs of the boys in our program
Experience working with children is necessary
