Innovacare Health company history timeline
The foundation for InnovaCare was laid in 1998 when by President and CEO Richard Shinto, M.D., founded North American Medical Management (NAMM) in California.
Kaplan joined Bain Capital Private Equity in 2009.
In December 2012, the management team successfully sold select properties of NAMM and officially formed InnovaCare to operate the remaining subsidiaries, including MMM.
Launched in 2018, MMM of Florida brings InnovaCare’s proven model to Medicare-eligible residents of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Leonetti joined Bain Capital Private Equity in 2019.
In 2020, Doctor Medel stepped down from his position and remains a member of the MEDNAX Board of Directors.
As the CMO of our Florida market, Doctor Carlson joined the InnovaCare Family in August 2021.
In 2021, MMM was purchased by Anthem Inc.
