Occupational Therapy provides therapy services for persons who have experienced a disruption in life roles (including self-maintenance, work and leisure) because of illness or injury and assists the individual with health maintenance and community re-entry by assisting the individual to achieve maximum functional ability.

Role Purpose
Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed occupational therapist as specified in their health care service setting.
Responsibilities
Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed occupational therapist.Collaborates with the licensed occupational therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient's plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patient's discharge note from occupational therapy Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the licensed occupational therapist.

Job Description
The Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant collects patient specimens, prepares samples for testing, and enters required information into the Laboratory Information System. Performing venipuncture and collecting patient and occasional employee blood samples in accordance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications
