Primary responsibility is to deliver excellence in quality Spa services to guests, visitors, and members in a timely, courteous and efficient manner. Escorts clients to and from treatment rooms, attending to any immediate needs throughout Spa visit. Assists in providing information to any inquiries and helps to coordinate all guest requests for services. Responsibilities and Job Duties: Maintain complete knowledge of Spa Services, Products and Fitness Programs. Maintain complete knowledge of Forbes, Chuan Spa, and The Langham standards and comply with hotel and departmental policies and procedures. Set up workstation and treatment room by following sanitation protocols and stocking with necessary supplies. Maintain cleanliness throughout shift by following sanitation protocols. Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously. Handle guest complaints by following the instant guest pacification procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction. Assists to maintain cleanliness of prep room/Spa/locker rooms/treatment rooms following sanitation protocols. Escort guests to and from treatments. Maintain cleanliness of Spa and treatment areas. Physical Requirements: Requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Ability to lift 20 lbs. Special Skills Required: Ability to give a timely Spa service, providing a relaxing and beneficial experience to each Guest. Knowledge of draping procedures and protocols. Ability to focus attention on Guest needs and remain calm and courteous. Ability to remain quiet during treatments. Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Spa. Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision. Ability to perform required minimum of treatments per shift. Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team. Ability to recommend and sell Spa products and services for in-house or for at home care. Knowledge of all Massage and Body Treatments offered. Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time. Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions. Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up. Ability to focus attention on details. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent hotel data. Ability to read, write and speak basic English sufficient to understand and communicate with employees and guests, understand information and Instructions, read labels, and complete required department forms. Education Required: Massage school degree required. Experience Required: One to three years previous experience in a Spa, Private Practice, Doctor's Office, Chiropractor's Office or any combination Current Illinois state Massage license required. Luxury Spa experience preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs consultation, therapy analysis, and verbal communication with every member seeking massage therapies. Solicits information regarding medical conditions that may be impacted by therapy. Performs all services for which training has been received in the allotted period.
