Unit covers hours: 8am-5pm Interventional Radiology Unit description: 6 pre/post procedural bays, 2 procedural rooms, this team handles approximately 14 procedures daily including but not limited to Biopsies (Liver, Bone, Bone Marrow), Never Ablation, Vascular Procedures, Drain and Line Placement, Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, GI procedures. Nurses are trained to rotate through the Pre, Intra, and Post (recovery) areas of the department, working closely with the interventional radiology provider and techs to provide exceptional patient care and outcomes. CVIR RN Qualifications: Requires minimum 1 year (RN) nursing experience. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN. BLS Healthcare Provider Certification issued by the AHA is required at start. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attends simulation exercises as assigned. Completes extern training, skill competency checklist and simulation labs. Performs other duties as assigned.
