Marathon Engineering is seeking a full-time Construction Field Representative / SWPPP Inspector to join our Rochester team. This role focuses on field-based work: performing Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPPP) inspections, observing construction progress, and assisting with survey operations as needed. You will play a key part in ensuring our designs are built as intended, documenting field conditions, and communicating with engineers, contractors, and clients throughout construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform SWPPP inspections on active construction sites, documenting compliance with erosion and sediment control measures and preparing detailed reports.
Serve as Marathon's on-site representative during construction, track progress, verify quantities, photograph work, and communicate findings to the design team.
Assist with construction administration tasks including review of submittals and shop drawings,
Support the survey crew with field setup, stakeout, and topographic data collection as workload requires.
Maintain organized field notes and daily logs using company templates, ensuring records are consistent and complete.
Collaborate closely with Marathon's engineers and surveyors to translate field conditions into actionable design feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS
Background in civil/site construction, inspection, municipal field work, or related field (5-10 years preferred)
Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail in documentation.
Comfort working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions on uneven terrain.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Familiarity with NYSDEC stormwater regulations, construction administration, or Trimble/Civil 3D software is preferred.

Total Target Earnings is composed of base salary + target incentive. At 85% to 120% performance achievement, the Target Earning potential is $154,000 to $190,000 annually, plus company fleet/car. Total compensation may be higher or lower dependent upon individual performance.

We provide a promotional kit and bi-weekly paycheck via direct deposit!
Our average brand ambassadors make $200-$300 per day. Our top brand ambassadors are making $500+ per day!
Bonus Payout:
We have nine different products in Costco, and usually five on the table. Shifts start at 10am and end at 5:30pm - you get credit for whatever sells that day. This is an additional 3 hours Costco is open where customers are still purchasing our products.
Sales Promoter Responsibilities:
Approach and interact with Costco members to promote various brands provided by suppliers.
Present yourself and the company competently and professionally while at Costco.
Provide excellent customer service to Costco members on behalf of Direct Demo.
Availability for regularly scheduled paid compliance calls with team and/or regional manager.
Must be able to lift-up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to lift and carry a 2' x 4' folding table from the parking lot to the store and then back to your car at the end of the shift. The table weighs approximately 20 pounds. You must also be able to carry products, demonstration supplies and sales materials to and from your car at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ability to stand for 7 hours.
Ability to work independently and without direct supervision as the only team member per location.
Requirements:
Outgoing personality, ability to approach and talk to customers.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Experience with direct sales.
Email and basic computer / mobile device skills.
