Job Description
EXL Risk Control is looking for self-directed independent contractors who possess excellent
communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and
timeliness standards. You will work from your own home or office, and service onsite
survey/inspection assignments in the Cincinnati, OH area, and other locations within approximately 100 miles of Cincinnati.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for scheduling on-site surveys and providing risk control reports to
insurance industry clients. These reports contain information necessary to underwrite a
commercial insurance policy and may include recommendations to control and/or correct
potential loss producing conditions associated with that policy. You will be expected to
manage assignments you accept, successfully secure customer appointments within a
local territory and complete work assignments on time.
Our Risk Control Inspectors evaluate businesses behind the scenes to identify hazards and
improve safety, mitigating risks for our insurance company clients. The type of businesses
we survey are commercial operations, including retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments,
construction jobsites, churches, schools, etc. Most surveys are focused on assessing the
business for Property and General Liability coverage, but we also service other commercial
insurance lines of business including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability,
Inland Marine and Builders Risk.
Qualifications
Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim,
loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety experience is a plus, but all interested
candidates are encouraged to submit their qualifications. In lieu of experience, we can refer
you to a 15-hour online certification option to qualify you. Fees are negotiable depending on
experience and the unique aspects of selected jobs.

Position Description
Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, to assess product specifications.
Perform data collection and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement within our quality management systems.
Utilize coordinate measuring machines and vision inspection systems to ensure accuracy in measurements and product integrity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions based on quality audits and inspection findings.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality assurance activities in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
Assist in the development and refinement of quality control procedures to enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications
Ability to read blueprints
Strong understanding of GD&T
Familiarity with hand tool inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, mahr gages, etc)
Familiarity with quality systems, including QA/QC methodologies.
Experience with Keyence Visual Inspection System
Experience with Hexagon CMM
Experience with Sunnen bore gages
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field involving quality inspection processes.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence in your work.

Purpose
The purpose of the Quality Inspector II is to perform inspections on incoming and in-process materials/components to verify that such meet required quality specifications. Manage data input and review non-conformance of product and handle appropriately.
Primary responsibilities
Inspect and measure incoming materials/components using established quality standards and documentation for each part

Assist Quality Engineer in performing First Article inspections as needed
