ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for inspecting the quality and conformance of products used in the manufacture of heat transfer products (i.e. heat sinks, radiators, heat pipes, extrusions) at various stages of the production process to ensure the product meets the specifications of the blueprint and/or job order.
Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and/or standards to confirm product requirements. Compare product to requirements and ensure completion of operation or assembly.
Identify product imperfections and damage. Perform minor cosmetic repairs on product as required.
Inspection of in-process welding
Inspection of final welds
Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
Perform weld surveillance audits that include the verification of compliance to specified weld procedures including any preheat, interpass temperature control and post heat requirements.
Inspection and Test Plans: Assistance and agreement with the preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's)
Post-weld visual inspection: Visual inspection of completed weldment against specification requirements and drawings.
Provide training and coaching to welders as necessary
Ensure work area is kept clean and always organized.
Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures
Be an advocate for safety. Insist on safe practices throughout the inspection areas
Work to maintain the integrity of Boyd's Quality Systems

Job Summary
Partner Valuation Advisors (PVA) is searching for a certified general license appraiser to assist with on-site property inspections and final review of appraisal reports. This role will primarily focus on the inspection requirements and will require a large amount of travel (50%+ per month). Additionally, this role will require the appraiser to perform a final review of the client deliverable on those jobs they inspected to ensure that the report is in USPAP compliance for all subject property site and physical improvement descriptions as well as surrounding area descriptions observed during the inspection.

Position Summary
Performs basic receiving, first-piece, in-process and final inspection in accordance with applicable quality system procedures and work instructions. Evaluates materials, components and/or assemblies for conformance to specification requirements or established workmanship standards. Applies basic statistical techniques, including statistical process control and sampling plans, to assess the stability of various processes or reduce collected raw data. May train new or lower grade level employees in department protocol.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform receiving inspection of incoming supplies requiring quality assurance evaluation prior to dispatch using the appropriate sampling plan.
Perform first-piece inspection of machined product and conduct in-process audits of work-in-progress in accordance with documented procedures under supervision.
Perform final inspection and test of deliverable product in accordance with documented procedures prior to release for shipment or storage.
Complete all required inspection and test records appropriate to the particular task and results of the inspection.
Understand and apply basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing symbology.
Employ basic statistical tools to interpret data.
Understand Vantage operation for time and data reporting.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Inspector II is required to interact effectively in cross-functional teams dedicated to the resolution of issues in a timely manner.
Education, Training and/or Experience

Responsibilities
Use and interpret work instructions and associated documents to ensure conformity of product.
Performs final inspection of the product.

When necessary, create nonconforming material reports.
Performing analysis, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of products or components identified as non-conforming during an in-process and final inspection.
Maintain inspection equipment, ensuring that it is used within the calibration cycle, and is in good working condition.
Identify areas for improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Prepare accepted product for use by appropriately labeling product to indicate status and printing unique device identification labels as necessary.

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent

Proficient in all aspects of inspection including using and maintaining all inspection equipment

Strong communication, organizational, documentation and time management skills
