We are seeking an experienced NACE Inspector Level III to perform comprehensive visual inspections and Holiday Tests on the vulcanized rubber liners of three Ecodyn tanks located at Valero Port Arthur, Texas. The NACE Inspector will be responsible for documenting each inspection, identifying any rejected indications, and ensuring proper corrective actions are followed during the repair process. The inspector will also be required to perform in-process inspections and submit daily reports during the repair process. Key Responsibilities: Visual Inspections: Conduct thorough visual inspections of the vulcanized rubber liner inside each of the three Ecodyn tanks to ensure they meet specified standards. Holiday Testing: Perform Holiday Tests on the rubber linings of each tank to identify any coating defects or discontinuities. Reporting: Document findings in clear and detailed reports for each tank, including any areas of concern or defects identified during the inspection. Rejected Indications: If any rejected indications or defects are found, follow the approved repair process and ensure all necessary repairs are completed. In-Process Inspections: Conduct in-process inspections during the repair phase to ensure the quality and compliance of repairs. Daily Reports: Submit daily reports during the repair process to document progress, any issues, and resolutions. Compliance: Ensure all inspection activities comply with applicable standards, including NACE and industry-specific guidelines. Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance and repair teams to ensure timely and effective repairs. Required Qualifications: NACE Level III Certification (or equivalent) in Coating Inspection. Proven experience performing visual inspections and Holiday Testing, particularly on rubber linings. Strong understanding of coating inspection standards and procedures. Ability to work independently and manage inspection tasks for multiple tanks. Familiarity with reporting requirements and documentation of inspection and repair activities. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and report defects or non-compliance issues. Strong communication skills for reporting findings to management and working with the repair teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the oil and gas or chemical industries, specifically with tank linings or coatings. Previous experience performing inspections on tanks or similar equipment. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions, including outdoor environments. Ability to access confined spaces and elevated areas when necessary. Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is: To verify property occupancy. To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant. We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors. Responsibilities Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes. Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned. Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards. Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments. Complete a short form in an app. Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory. Job Summary: The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the quality aspects of production by Metalforms through all phases to completion. Daily interactions with Metalforms Engineering, Customer representatives, Project Managers, ASME Authorized Inspector, suppliers, etc., to ensure each project is completed in accordance with the project requirements, and applicable Code requirements. Tasks & Responsibilities: Work with production and as necessary, Engineering, to ensure project and quality requirements are understood and complied. Review and become knowledgeable on each project scope of work, specifications, material types, special process requirements, etc. Review Inspection & Test Plans to proactively engage with Metalforms production leads and customer representatives to promote seamless execution of all required witness and hold points of each designated activity. Conduct inspections and audits across all stages of production, including visual and dimensional checks, NDE, testing, paint and final inspection. Progressively assembling the manufacturing and inspection documentation for the creation of the Final Data Books. Participate in Pre-Fabrication Meetings with the project management team, subcontractors, and customers as needed. Review and confirm material and material test reports are in compliance with ASME Code, applicable customer specifications and other relevant project documents and standards. Attend production meetings. Review job package documentation for accuracy and completeness. Assist other Quality department personnel as needed. Competencies: Good organizational and multi-task skills. Working experience with ASME Code & Standards. Skilled in applying Inspection & Test Plans, procedures, work instructions, manufacturing standards, and material test reports while confirming compliance with customer specifications and ASME Code requirements. Experience in review and comprehension of Customer and Project specific specifications and standards. Job Description Thompson Engineering is a leader in delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction projects across the South. The Civil QA/QC Inspector will oversee the quality assurance and quality control aspects of civil construction work including earthworks, concrete, asphalt, utilities, drainage, and structural components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and quality plans. Essential Functions of the Position Conduct QA/QC inspections for all civil construction activities, including but not limited to earthwork, foundation, concrete placement, utilities, roadways, and structural components. Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Prepare and maintain daily inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action documentation. Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with approved inspection and test plans (ITPs). Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, consultants, and quality managers to address any quality-related issues. Verify materials and workmanship meet the project's approved submittals and standards. Attend quality and coordination meetings as needed. Ensure that all inspection and testing records are properly documented and archived. Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring quality issues and suggesting practical solutions. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in civil construction QA/QC, preferably in infrastructure or large-scale projects. In-depth knowledge of industry standards and codes (ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, etc.). Experience reviewing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Control Plans (QCPs). Familiarity with construction materials and laboratory/field testing procedures. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QA/QC reporting tools. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites. Preferred Certifications (Not Required, but a Plus): ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I NICET Certification in Civil/Construction Inspection OSHA 10 or 30 Certification ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems knowledge QMS/QA-related training or certifications Physical Requirements Must be willing to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed by the department needs.
