Your Specific Responsibilities:
Perform independent complex technical assignments to accomplish inspection and monitoring of work activities performed within the state Right of Way. Verifies that work is performed according to all State and Federal specifications, plans, permits, policies, procedures, statutes and rules. Performs approved testing techniques through the use of hand tools, gauges and/or instruments to ensure materials used conform to Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) requirements.
Perform interpretation of governing documents related to authorized Maintenance of Traffic device usage, installation/placement and materials to ensure safe work zones. Reviews work site activities for conformity to safety regulations and takes corrective measures when deficiencies are noted.
Prepares records and reports for work completed and other related documents accurately and in a timely manner. Prepares all documentation in order to validate payments to roadway contractors.
Conducts surveys of signs, guardrail, and attenuators as required by procedures. Provides survey of roadway items to be inventoried for Roadway Characteristics Inventory (RCI). Fills out data coding sheet and enters roadway data into computer data base as needed. Gathers data and performs preliminary reviews for maintenance contract needs. Assists in the preparation of maintenance contracts. Prepares specifications as needed for use in maintenance contracts.
Conducts/attends pre-work conferences on maintenance contracts and attends/conducts meetings with contractors/utility owners/permitees throughout life of projects as assigned. Acts as a representative of the Department on all issues related to contracts and permits. Issues work documents on contracts as directed.
Performs plans reviews for constructability and adherence to Department Standards and specifications. Provides comments on Department policies and procedures as requested.
Performs quarterly surveys of invasive plant species within the Florida Department of Transportation Right of Way with Global Positioning System (GPS). Records and electronically store coordinates and other location data in excel spreadsheet format. Maintains and updates spreadsheet to include newly discovered, existing and eradicated locations; as well as treatment dates and locations.
Assembles payment packages for contracts in accordance with established processes. Assist in identifying and producing documents in relation to public records request.
Prepares project correspondence and records as necessary during the administration of contracts through the use of various computer programs. Enters/assist with the preparation of documents to be added to the electronic document management system as required.
Prepares and issues work documents on contracts as requested.

* While on-duty status, may be required to drive a state owned or leased vehicle to perform the duties of this position.
* A Valid Class E Driver License is required.
* May be required to work with or around: hazardous materials, work nights and weekends and be available for emergency response work as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency.
* Class E Driver's License.

We are seeking to recruit a Surface Quality Inspector for our location in Jupiter, Florida Strong attention to detail by visually looking at the surface quality of polished optics by using both hands to hold the optic to look thru (transmission) and in reflection to perform the visual inspection of Ø 5mm to Ø 200mm parts.
Perform a visual inspection of the optical (glass) lenses against applicable standards ( i.e. ISO10110 and MIL-PRF-13830) using a high intensity light source, or indirect lighting with eye loupes, and/or microscope to identify and find any surface defects (scratches, stains, chips, fractures, etc.) on the lens after polishing or coating. Use the applicable standard to determine if the depth/width of the defect is acceptable or rejected based on the drawing specification.
Visual inspection of low/moderate (standard/commercial) grade surface quality requirements (80-50, 60-40 scratch dig equivalent) which are a commonly acceptable cosmetic standards.
Perform the inspection of raw glass blanks with documentation and release of material to production.
Must be able to use cleaning solvents (alcohol, acetone and others) with special cloth wipes to clean, wipe, and to dissolve and remove any contaminants from the lens before and after inspection.
After inspection of the optics, must be able to wrap the lens to protect from scratches, stains, chips, etc.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in a reliable and consistent manner.
Must accurately document the description of lenses that do not meet the surface quality requirements, segregate the nonconforming parts from acceptable lenses, and to protect the rejected lens before sending to rework (internally or externally) or transferring acceptable lenses to inventory.
May use various measuring instruments to measure physical dimension (in mm and inches).
Must be able to escalate observed or potential lens quality or process defects to team lead or department supervisor.
Must be organized, meticulous and a conscientious worker to minimize mishandling. Lenses inspected are finished product to be built into assemblies that must be handled with utmost care.
Maintain contamination control and cleanliness of the area at all times.
Proper safety procedures and process controls will be followed at all times when working with solvents, sharp edges and high intensity light sources.
Should be an independent worker who can be focused on their responsibilities under minimal supervision with handling and processing parts quickly and efficiently before sending the lenses to coating (outside process), inventory, or to the customer.
Work instructions and inspection training to be provided but individual must be able listen and ask questions, refer to the instructions and notes taken, and retain the information provided to reference back.

Field inspectors work independently. The ability to keep accurate records is required for such information as inspection locations, mileage, samples, and time spent conducting an inspection. The work day is spent in a variety of locations and requires travel between locations.
Must be able to work at a construction site where the typical environment includes but is not limited to: equipment noise, minimal dust, exposure to weather conditions, etc.
Must be able to ride a swing stage and/or boom lift in order to perform inspection and physical testing work, which includes significant heights which could be over 40 stories.
The ability to climb stairs in a short period of time.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lb.
Must have a clean driving record and valid Diver License from the state of Florida. Consent to MVR screening is required of any individual hired for the position.

Quality Control Inspector

Role Objective:
Responsible for the return to service of all assigned articles to include completion of all work orders and all other required documentation from pre-planning to delivery of the aircraft. Physically inspect aircraft, aircraft components, and review paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality, and that customer aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation properly completed and filed.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Determine inspection status of aircraft in for scheduled inspection, as assigned.
Audit of inspection and maintenance work packages generated by the repair station during the performance of maintenance and repair.
Work with production personnel, Team Leaders, Lead Technicians and Technicians to ensure accurate and complete documentation of work performed in company work order packages.
Generation of maintenance record entries and Log Book Entries for aircraft, engines, propellers, and accessories maintained by the repair station in accordance with 14 CFR Part 43 and the requirements of this repair station manual. Includes completion of FAA forms 337 and 8130-3 as required.
Assist in surveillance of the repair station facilities and procedures and report results to the Inspector.
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager and Chief Inspector in the development of improved methods and procedures for the performance of quality assurance functions.
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager and Chief Inspector in the maintenance of the technical publication libraries throughout the repair station.
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager and Chief Inspector in the tracking and calibration of inspection and test equipment used by the repair station for the purpose of product acceptance.
The proper execution of Malfunction or Defect Reports, FAA Form 8010-4 when required. This report will be submitted to the FAA within 96 hours after the malfunction or defect has been discovered in accordance with 14 CFR§145.221.
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager and Chief Inspector as necessary in the receiving inspection of parts or material forwarded to them by the receiving inspector.
Assuring proper documentation of the preliminary inspection, hidden damage inspection, and final inspections of all items processed as assigned.
Make entries into maintenance logs & work orders IAW 14 CFR Part 43 and Operator/Air Carrier manuals.
Maintaining Quality Department work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager and Chief Inspector as directed.
