What You Will Do
* Inspect in-process assemblies and material to ensure compliance to drawing, or customer directed specifications
* Use of mechanical inspection tools and gages (Measurement and Test Equipment) as necessary, for specific inspection operations
* Uses and interprets the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system
* Reports non- conformance, using the Non-conforming Material Reporting system
* Assists Quality Management, as directed
* Inspects manufactured products, purchased samples, materials and parts, control samples, processes, or test data for conformity to blueprints, specifications and standards
* Inspects new product developmental, provides feedback to design, manufacturing Engineering
* Reports inspection results and substandard conditions on appropriate forms or SAP
* Informs lead/supervision of abnormal situations
* Assists in cross training of new hires and trainees
* Ensures quality product utilizing Collins quality procedures
* Adheres to all Collins rules and codes of conduct
* Looks for ways to eliminate safety hazards and improve the overall safety of the workplace
* Provides solutions to problems that are moderately complex
* Coordinates First Article Inspection with centralized team
* Consistently meet attendance standards
* The shift hours for this role will be 6:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. plus potential overtime

Qualifications You Must Have
* Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
* U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
* Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Access (ATF) Clearance is required.
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
* Have knowledge of marking requirements, and be able to use part making tools and resources to ensure part/assembly traceability
* Must be able to use calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools
* First Article Inspection experience - AS9102 standard
* Intermediate Excel application data analysis
Qualification We Prefer
* Standard inspection tooling and techniques (gauge pins, height stands, micrometers, calipers).
* GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerancing) drawing experience.
* Machine parts inspection preferred.

General Description:
The QA/QC Inspector plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties. The QA/QC Inspector will represent ACCO and its subcontractors for pipe and equipment installation, welding inspection and oversight of subcontractor installation and quality. The QA/QC Inspector will participate in the General Contractors project quality program documenting installation activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether the product has been vetted by ACCO for future purchases from the vendor.
Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies, codes and procedures.
Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
Maintains a working knowledge of codes and specifications for current industry quality standards.
The quality team may assign other duties.
Secondary Duties / Responsibilities:
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
Prepares and presents technical information and reports to team members and management.
Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.

We are looking for an Inspector who will examine the work activities of MVEA contractors working for the Association to ensure standards are being met in the field, along with performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for verifying the accuracy of the "As-Built" staking sheets and comparing them to contractor invoices. Verifies the material charged out of warehouse against units on contractor invoicing that states units that have been installed in the field and ensures that the correct amount is billed on invoices. Processes appropriate corrections for material discrepancies or initiates changes to the material lists and staking sheets with warehouse personnel when appropriate.
Ensures that poles and underground equipment are installed correctly according to the staking sheet, stations are numbered and recorded correctly in the GIS system, labels have been installed, and warning and danger signs are in place. Verifies that phases are correctly identified and that tags are installed by using phase tracing equipment.
Prepares and approves documentation for adverse conditions.
Knowledgeable of all Rules and Regulations, MVEA Tariffs, policies, RUS line construction specifications, National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and other matters relating to the assigned work.
Responsible for inspecting the installation of overhead and underground facilities to ensure they meet MVEA standards. This includes verifying that equipment is properly set at designated locations and grade per staking sheet.
Verifies that correct wire-pulling procedures and proper terminations were used. Including proper line tension/sag for overhead.
Attend weekly construction meeting with the engineering department.
Authorizes the MVEA crews to energize a new section of line when all requirements have been met.
Complete required paperwork, keep accurate and timely records, and map electric lines according to established procedures.
Responsible for opening of underground enclosures to inspect primary and secondary equipment and electric lines.
Verifies compaction tests are done as required and follow up as needed.
Responsible for timely and accurate report preparation for all work performed.
Assist the Operations Coordinator in obtaining road crossing permits and traffic control plans. Initiate locate tickets when needed.
Requirements
Five years' experience as a Journeyman lineman is required.
Must have working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and RUS Construction Specifications and their applications as well as OSHA regulations.
The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, staking sheets, plats, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Good verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail is required.
Ability to write accurate and timely routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw and act on valid conclusions.
