EXL Risk Control is looking for self-directed independent contractors who possess excellent

timeliness standards. You will work from your own home or office, and service onsite
survey/inspection assignments in the Phoenix, AZ area, and other locations within approximately 45 miles of Phoenix.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for scheduling on-site surveys and providing risk control reports to
insurance industry clients. These reports contain information necessary to underwrite a
commercial insurance policy and may include recommendations to control and/or correct
potential loss producing conditions associated with that policy. You will be expected to
manage assignments you accept, successfully secure customer appointments within a

Our Risk Control Inspectors evaluate businesses behind the scenes to identify hazards and

Environmental factors:
Subject to work hours outside of the normal work schedule and outdoors during inclement weather situations.

Scope of Work:
Perform quality system audits and verifications of contractual specifications and applicable regulations in direct support of the CBP AZ Regional Facility Maintenance and Repair project site.
Responsibilities:
May perform any combination of the following duties:
Conduct onsite inspections and audits on contract requirements, and other services performed.
Schedule inspection activities.
Prepare and maintain reports and support the development of quality plans.
Document and track daily operations by using a computer maintenance programs(e.g., Maximo).
Follow prescribed quality assurance/quality control procedures.
Read and understand contract documents including plans and specifications.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
The technicians shall have 3 years' experience performing Quality Control inspections on building equipment and systems.
Previous Journeyman-Level work experience in the commercial construction industry in the skilled trades including Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC.
Must be able to travel to different site locations (Tucson/Yuma) to provide in-person support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Public Trust background check, if required for the position.
Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or desk.
Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and handling paperwork.
Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
Work is performed in and around maintenance activity, which may include exposure to typical industrial or facility operations environments.

Job Summary
Position is responsible for ensuring the quality of fabricated steel by reviewing design documents, inspecting materials, overseeing production, and conducting final inspections. Key Responsibilities:
1. Communicates with various departments such as quality, shipping, and others regarding inspections results and recommends corrective procedures.

3. Ensures correct coatings are applied to fabricated steel.
4. Inspects incoming materials for specification compliance.
5. Mechanical Inspection experience to include, experience level must fall in the setting and alignment of static and rotating equipment, equipment skids, coolers, tanks, and interconnecting process piping fabrication installation.
6. Must be able to use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, transits, etc., and be able to set up dial indications and laser alignment devices.
7. Must be able to work in elevated areas.
8. Must have ASNT SNT-TC-1a VT level 11, CWI, or CAWI certification.
9. Must have knowledge of AISC, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.3 and AWS D1.6 Codes.
10. Must have knowledge of ASME Sec. I, ASME Sec. VIII, ASME B31.1 and ASMR B31.3.
11. Must have knowledge of bolt-up inspection including bolt lot verifications following RCSC specifications.
12. Participates in activities to support the company's strategic planning efforts.
13. Participates in the preparation of Quality control lTP.
14. Performs and records all in-process inspections/testing related to maintaining product traceability and run documentation.
