Assists with maintaining the cell skills matrix and iteration tracking. * Provides performance evaluation input to the Operations Managers for inspection team members. * Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes. * Responsible for immediately reporting any flight/product safety concerns. * Participates in pro-active risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes. * Updates and reports out on cost of poor quality. Leads and participates in identification of root cause and corrective actions. * Activity promotes CI, monitors progress within the cell and assists where required to ensure goals are met. * Acts as the primary liaison with engineering and other production personnel as required to troubleshoot, research, and solve technical problems. * Ensures all applicable safety requirements are followed and address any unsafe practices/conditions immediately. * Performs hands-on technical work based on existing qualifications attained as Detail and/or Quality Inspector. This position will assist with the performance of routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire extinguishers under direct supervision. In addition, this role will support the diagnosis and evaluation of systems that require servicing as well as troubleshooting issues that arise during inspections under direct supervision. This position may install and test fire extinguishers under the close guidance of a Fire Extinguisher Technician. Position receives guidance and direction regarding day-to-day work tasks from a Fire Extingusher Technician. Job Qualifications Experience in construction or similar field with demonstrated mechanical skills or related training is a plus. Ability to follow verbal work instructions/directions. Utilizes measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, and electronic test equipment. Performs receiving inspection on incoming materials, parts, and products. Evaluates product specifications and examines them to specified requirements. Compiles, interprets and records observations of inspection processes.
