We are looking for very experienced NDT Inspector Level 2 (VT II, PT II, and MT II)
Located in Newport News, Virginia
Pay depending upon experience up to $46 an hour and $120 a day per diem for days worked.
This is an opportunity to work up to two years.
On top of great pay we also offer .50 cents an hour for every hour worked as a perfect attendance bonus paid weekly!
The NDT Inspector will be responsible for performing Magnetic Particle (MT) inspections on structural welds in a shop environment.
The role involves climbing, crawling, and performing minor grinding for relevance checks during inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct VT, MT and PT inspections on structural welds according to established procedures.
Climb vertical ladders, crawl in tanks and confined spaces, and perform inspections at heights.
Perform minor grinding as needed for relevance checks.
Use and maintain NDT equipment, record and analyze inspection data.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM-3:00 PM
Saturday to Sunday: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Optional up to 12-hour shifts per day based on supervisor discretion.
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Capable of climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
Not afraid of heights.
Certification to Level II requirements for ASNT's SNT-TC-1A, 2001 Edition or later. Documented qualification/certification in PT (II), MT (II) & VT (II).
Minimum of 4 years of documented current experience in MT inspections.
Experience with OSHA regulations and familiarity with shipbuilding or power industry requirements.
Documentation Required:
Certification documentation including training hours and experience records, examination results, and vision test records for the current and preceding 3-year certification period. Recent Documented qualification/certification in PT (II), MT (II) & VT (II) - (2020 - current certificates accepted)

· Perform design & analysis for various projects supporting the general material handling industry.
· Projects will range from foundation analysis to structural analysis of large overhead cranes and runway systems.

Job Duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversees the Office of the Inspector General and its associated activities, including performance, operational, and compliance audits; administrative and criminal investigations; inspections and evaluations; physical security programs; and emergency management operations.
Provides policy direction to OIG operations. Reviews existing regulations and proposed legislation relating to DES programs regarding their impact on the economy and efficiency of operations. Reviews existing rules, regulations, and policies, as well as proposed legislation to determine their impact on the prevention, detection, investigation, and mitigation of fraud, waste, and abuse
Oversees the identification, review, and discussion of areas of deficiency, risk, and vulnerability within DES programs and contracts. Oversees the development of plans for coordinated statewide activities related to the management of risk, fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement.
Coordinates and leads partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to conduct audit, investigation, inspection, and evaluation programs and projects, which are designed to effectively and efficiently manage fraud, waste, and abuse when the scope exceeds the capability or jurisdiction of DES.
Provides policy direction and coordination for agency physical security programs to include facility security assessments and threats to the safety and security of individuals in DES facilities.
Advises DES management on the development of performance measures, standards, and procedures for the evaluation of programs and processes. Reviews actions taken by Programs to improve performance and meet standards and makes recommendations for improvement.

As a principal advisor to the Assistant Inspector General for Audit (AIGA), the DAIG is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and oversight of auditors, evaluators, and specialists that work within the assigned directorates.

Pay Scale & Grade Information:
This position is being advertised under the Inspector General Executive Service (IGES) Band, which is equivalent to the Senior Executive Service (SES) level in the federal government. The pay scale and grade for this announcement is GG-SL, which is classified as Excepted Service (GG) and Senior Level (SL), above the GS-15 equivalent.

The salary range for this IGES Executive Band (SES Equivalent) position is $180,000.00 - $225,700.00.
As a principal advisor to the Assistant Inspector General for Audit (AIGA), the DAIG is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and oversight of auditors, evaluators, and specialists that work within the assigned directorates. A primary function is to identify strategic risks and opportunities in the directorates and the corresponding Postal Service areas these directorates oversee. Other duties entail examining, evaluating, and verifying operating systems, procedures, internal controls, and recorded data of the U.S. Postal Service. The DAIG must have the ability to timely oversee the analysis of large data sets to identify anomalies and trends indicative of potential risks and opportunities, as well as oversee overall project implementation to include the generation of audit findings and preparation of final audit reports. The DAIG must also have the ability to effectively manage, lead, and motivate a large staff of professionals who are geographically dispersed. The DAIG will also be responsible for creating and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships and building rapport with Postal Service executives.
Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Serves as principal advisor to the AIGA for all matters related to the audit directorates of Finance and Pricing, Human Capital Management, and Audit Services
* Serves as a member of the OIG executive management team
* Works with other executives and senior managers to plan and coordinate OIG activities to ensure effective and efficient use of resources and the delivery of quality services in meeting the OIG's mission
* Sets the strategic direction for the audit directorates and serves as a key contributor to strategic organizational and audit planning and other initiatives
* Ensures that appropriate functions and responsibilities are developed and executed for each directorate in accordance with regulatory standards and guidelines established for OIG
* Exercises leadership to oversee all work and demonstrate total authority and responsibility associated with subordinate directorates
* Uses discernment to guide, plan, participate in, or execute special projects and/or assigned audits
* Provides auditing and technical assistance for assigned areas, to include evaluating the adequacy of controls as they relate to each audit
* Manages and prioritizes multiple assignments including all audits and projects
* Works closely with Directors and Managers on risk assessment and audit planning
* Collaborates with internal Executives, Directors, and Managers OIG-wide on areas of strategic oversight, to include data analysis, dashboard development and management, development of fraud indicators, and other data management opportunities
* Helps establish and subsequently reviews and monitors ongoing performance metrics for the DAIG area and both subordinate directorates and works towards meeting or exceeding all metrics timely
* Presents audit findings or other relevant information to internal and external Senior Executives and stakeholders on the effectiveness and adequacy of risk management, governance, and internal control procedures
* Keeps abreast of emerging audit, business, IT, risk management and data governance and mining issues

The New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) is one of the oldest law enforcement agencies in the country with a mission of combating municipal corruption. It serves the people of New York City by acting as an independent and nonpartisan watchdog for New York City government, City agencies, and City employees, vendors with City contracts, individuals and entities that receive City funds.
DOI is seeking to hire an Inspector General to lead its Protest Policing Monitoring Unit. The City recently reached a litigation settlement related to the New York City Police Department's (NYPD) response to demonstrations that occurred in 2020 after the police killing of George Floyd. The City and plaintiffs agreed to establish a Collaborative Review Committee, chaired by the DOI Commissioner, to monitor NYPD's implementation of the settlement's terms. The settlement terms include NYPD's commitment to embrace policing approaches that assure the rights of protesters and comply with the law; to develop policies, training, and procedures concerning policing of protests; and to act in accordance with requirements regarding deployments, tactics, arrests, uses of force, and documentation. DOI is responsible for, among other things, conducting reviews of selected demonstrations, determining NYPD's compliance with settlement terms, reporting findings, and issuing recommendations.
With input from the Office of the Inspector General for the NYPD, the selected Inspector General will supervise the Protest Policing Monitoring Unit and its staff in reviewing NYPD policing of demonstrations and performing oversight of NYPD compliance with settlement terms and department policies. Duties and responsibilities include:
1. Managing reviews of the NYPD response to demonstrations by guiding the activities of unit staff, requesting and analyzing records, conducting interviews of NYPD officials and members of the public, and planning field activities.
2. Drafting and editing reports of findings that include policy recommendations to the City and the Committee.
3. Representing the Commissioner and DOI before the Committee, City agencies, and the public.
4. Managing and supervising staff.
5. Performing other assignments of a sensitive nature involving oversight of the NYPD as directed by DOI leadership.
If selected, the candidate will be fingerprinted and undergo a background investigation, during which the candidate's consumer credit history will be reviewed, as otherwise permitted by NYC Administrative Code § 8-107(24)(b)(2)(A).
This position is funded for the duration of the settlement's monitoring period, which is a period of three years and three months.
**Qualification Requirements**
1.A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and four years of full-time experience in investigation, auditing, law enforcement, law security, management analysis, or in a major operational area of the agency to which the assignment is to be made; at least 18 months of which must have been in a supervisory, administrative, managerial or executive capacity, and the approval of the Commissioner of Investigation; or
2.Education and/or experience equivalent to “1” above. Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Commercial Real Estate Site Inspector to join our growing team on an ad-hoc basis. The ideal candidates would have previous commercial site inspector experience, a flexible schedule, and the ability to provide accurate high quality reports within a timely manner. While this position will report to our New York office, this job is a remote opportunity available in all regions of the United States.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Ability to conduct site inspections for all different commercial asset types (Retail, Self-Storage, Hotel, Office, Multi-family, Industrial and Mobile Home Parks).
Perform a thorough tour of the property (self-guided at times).
Provide sufficient photos of the property, neighborhood and comparable properties.
Provide a thorough written report (template provided for each site).
May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School or GED equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year professional Commercial Real Estate experience required
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Requires attention to detail
Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to learn and utilize applications and/or software for inspections as needed
CERTIFICATES & LICENSURE:
Valid state-issued driver's license
GSE Certification preferred

Salary: $350- $500 per assignment
The actual base pay per assignment will be determined on an assignment-by-assignment basis taking into account a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, the location of the site inspection and the scope of work for the assignment.

** Hampton Roads Transit** ** Lead Passenger Amenities Inspector Technician** Hampton, VA 23661 **Starting Salary: $55,000** The Lead Passenger Amenities Inspector Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of semi-skilled maintenance, repair, and custodial duties at all HRT transit stops to ensure the “face” of the agency is maintained in a clean and safe manner for the public. The essential job functions of this position are to assist with the supervision of the Transit Stop Inspectors and the coordination of maintaining the overall safety, appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of all transit stops at HRT bus, light rail and ferry stops. In addition, this position provides quality assurance and control oversight at certain passenger amenity locations being cleaned by HRT contractors, along with decision making when the Facilities Asset Manager is unavailable.
**Essential Job Functions:**

* Designates route and work order assignments to Transit Stop Technician staff and monitors their work in order to achieve the completion of assigned tasks.
* Assists the Facilities Asset Manager in conducting on-the-job training and assessing the performance of the Transit Stop Technicians.
* Determines what tools and equipment are needed to perform maintenance, repairs, and cleaning at transit stops.
* Orders and manages an inventory of replacement parts and glass panels for all transit stops.
* Performs skilled and unskilled tasks with little or no supervision.
* Drive routes and inspect all transit stops for routine and/or reported issues.
* Open work orders in the EAM for any issues found while inspecting transit stops, delegates work to correct staff, and closes out work orders as completed.
* Perform basic condition assessments of all transit stops as well as inventory and photograph all assets related to those stops.
* Perform basic maintenance and repairs on damaged transit stop amenities, to include cleaning and replacing broken shelter glass panels, and repairing or replacing broken and missing benches, trash cans, solar lighting, and bus stop signage.
* Operates a wide variety of power and hand tools in performing maintenance and repair services, including hoists, power washers, paint sprayers, weed eaters, and other similar equipment.
* Remove graffiti from passenger amenities using chemical wash and pressure washing as well as touching up paint as needed.
* Maintain landscaping around passenger amenities, which may include grass cutting, shrub trimming, tree branch removal, weed control, and picking up trash from the ground.
* Empty/clean HRT trash containers and dispose in appropriate dumpsters.
* Pressure wash amenities and pavement around HRT transit stops as directed.
* Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within 25 feet of HRT facilities and/or passenger amenities using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
* Manage Adopt-A-Stop program to include volunteer recruitment, scheduling installations and removals as well as ordering and inventory of program supplies.
* Address emergencies at all transit stops, when necessary, which may include cleaning of biohazard waste (i.e., vomit, feces, urine, blood), applying limited pest control measures for bees/wasps, rodents, roaches and ants, and mitigation of dangerous conditions such as broken glass, exposed electrical wiring, or severely damaged shelters or other amenities.
* Submit Facilities Maintenance work orders in the EAM when problems are identified and/or issues cannot be resolved in the field.
* Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies; performs daily, weekly, and periodic maintenance on assigned equipment, assists in maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment, including checking gasoline and fluid levels; schedules regular oil changes, tune-ups and required maintenance on HRT owned vehicles.
* Receives and responds to or refers customer complaints to the appropriate HRT staff.
* Assist Facilities in setting up for meetings, trainings, conferences, special events, etc.
* Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
* Safely operate all vehicles and other job-related equipment provided by HRT.
* Comply with all related Hampton Roads Transit policies and procedures.

Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation using the VDOT Materials Book & project management software which could include VDOT Site Manager.
Complete testing of materials using VDOT testing procedures
Apply Best Management practices to environmental inspection activities using DEQ standards and specifications.
Apply Best Management Practices to safety activities.
Communicate with various stakeholders including Localities and VDOT
Assist with the development of change orders, investigations, and the analysis of Notices of Intent to File Claims.
Required Skills / Abilities
3 or more years' experience in roadway or bridge construction inspection
Experience operating computer equipment, software programs including Microsoft Office Suite, and field-testing equipment.
Must have a valid driver s license and acceptable driving record.
Able to pass a criminal background check.

The incumbent in this position can typically expect to sit and use his/her hands to handle and feel for more than 1/3 of the day. He/she can expect to stand or walk for more than 2/3 of the day.
