Essential Functions Statement(s)/Skills Required: * Perform inspections on all parts, assemblies, and fabrications as specified on drawings and job cards. * Set up assemblies and perform dimensional inspections using scales, tape measures, calipers, micrometers, hold micrometers and other precision gauging equipment. * Set-up non-destructive tests (NDT) on components. Experience in MT, PT, VT, RT, or UT, is a plus. Record results of the inspection and indicate disposition. * Work with customer representatives as necessary to review customer inspection points. * Maintain inspection records and documentation files for inspections performed. * Perform surveillance on material identification in the shop and in stores; insure segregation of scrap material from material in-process. * In receiving inspection, work closely with shipper and receiver to ensure that all requirements and specifications are met. * US Citizenship required at time of hire. Industrial Inspection & Analysis is searching for an ANSI Inspector located in Pennsylvania to join our Lifting Services team. The ANSI Inspector will perform inspections on aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes and digger derricks. ANSI inspections ensure the heavy equipment is in safe working order by conducting a review of the major components. Responsibilities Perform structural tests including Acoustic emission tests to assess the integrity of the fiberglass and steel structure Magnetic particle inspections to identify surface cracks on ferrous metals Torque test all critical fasteners, among others. Dielectric testing to verify the electrical insulating strength in the FRP upper and lower booms, bucket, liners, FRP extensions on digger derricks, tool circuits, and upper control system. Qualifications Mechanically inclined. Basic knowledge of mechanical processes, movement, and assembly. Basic knowledge of hand tools. Proficient computer skills. Strong communication skills. Adequate visual acuity and perception to identify and distinguish light, color, depth, distance, and other elements pertaining to spatial resolution.
