Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on the properties they have financial interest in. The lender contracts with GIS to have inspectors go out to verify the property occupancy, report general property conditions, letter delivery/posting, vacant interior walkthrough or insurance repair progress report. Majority of our inspections are basic exteriors where some do require contact by door knock or letter delivery. In addition, there will be some inspections which require interior access to secured/vacant properties and appointment based insurance loss inspections.

Perform the inspection of raw glass blanks with documentation and release of material to production.
Must be able to use cleaning solvents (alcohol, acetone and others) with special cloth wipes to clean, wipe, and to dissolve and remove any contaminants from the lens before and after inspection.
After inspection of the optics, must be able to wrap the lens to protect from scratches, stains, chips, etc.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in a reliable and consistent manner.
Must accurately document the description of lenses that do not meet the surface quality requirements, segregate the nonconforming parts from acceptable lenses, and to protect the rejected lens before sending to rework (internally or externally) or transferring acceptable lenses to inventory.
May use various measuring instruments to measure physical dimension (in mm and inches).
Must be able to escalate observed or potential lens quality or process defects to team lead or department supervisor.
Must be organized, meticulous and a conscientious worker to minimize mishandling. Lenses inspected are finished product to be built into assemblies that must be handled with utmost care.
Maintain contamination control and cleanliness of the area at all times.
Proper safety procedures and process controls will be followed at all times when working with solvents, sharp edges and high intensity light sources.

Responsibilities:
Inspect products using various inspection gages, scales, and visual inspection prior to product shipment
Perform complex geometric layout inspection using standard variable gaging and relative mathematics.
Prepare and submit first article inspections to customer requirements
Verification of certifications and testing of incoming raw materials
Function as Designated Quality Representative for various customers to release products for shipment.
Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and other surface irregularities.
Compare product with applicable parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
Verifies dimensional compliance of all products with drawing and customer requirements.
Interprets engineering drawings and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Performs in-process inspection and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with all applicable mechanical and process related requirements.

Use the applicable standard to determine if the depth/width of the defect is acceptable or rejected based on the drawing specification.
Visual inspection of low/moderate (standard/commercial) grade surface quality requirements (80-50, 60-40 scratch dig equivalent) which are a commonly acceptable cosmetic standards.
Perform the inspection of raw glass blanks with documentation and release of material to production.
Must be able to use cleaning solvents (alcohol, acetone and others) with special cloth wipes to clean, wipe, and to dissolve and remove any contaminants from the lens before and after inspection.
After inspection of the optics, must be able to wrap the lens to protect from scratches, stains, chips, etc.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in a reliable and consistent manner.
Must accurately document the description of lenses that do not meet the surface quality requirements, segregate the nonconforming parts from acceptable lenses, and to protect the rejected lens before sending to rework (internally or externally) or transferring acceptable lenses to inventory.
May use various measuring instruments to measure physical dimension (in mm and inches).
Must be able to escalate observed or potential lens quality or process defects to team lead or department supervisor.
Must be organized, meticulous and a conscientious worker to minimize mishandling. Lenses inspected are finished product to be built into assemblies that must be handled with utmost care.
Maintain contamination control and cleanliness of the area at all times.
Proper safety procedures and process controls will be followed at all times when working with solvents, sharp edges and high intensity light sources.
Should be an independent worker who can be focused on their responsibilities under minimal supervision with handling and processing parts quickly and efficiently before sending the lenses to coating (outside process), inventory, or to the customer.
Work instructions and inspection training to be provided but individual must be able listen and ask questions, refer to the instructions and notes taken, and retain the information provided to reference back.

BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to support field inspection activities and ensure that construction work meets all contract specifications.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Conducts and/or participates in inspection activities to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.
* Performs inspection activities which may include any of the following:
* Demolition of transportation facilities (roads, streets, bridges etc.)
* Construction of roads, bridges, and other associated improvements (curb, gutter, sidewalk, landscaping, etc.)
* Drainage work, traffic control, and compliance with storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) requirements
* Installation of electrical equipment related to traffic signals, ramp metering, and street lighting
* Inspect roadway and overhead sign removal
* Captures project photographs on a daily basis; file/organize
* Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and writes daily diaries.
* Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract.
* Verifies only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
* Recognizes potential issues and problems; reports to supervisor.
* Responds to call backs in case of emergency at the project site.
* Performs work in safe manner and is cognizant of public safety.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
* Familiarity with public works contracts and construction related processes
* Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
* - Effective time management skills to proactively prepare for work assignment
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge of English grammar and composition
* Ability to prepare written diaries and reports
* Basic math skill including familiarity with simple engineering calculations, graphs, and charts
* Familiarity with basic computer applications and usage to include Microsoft Office, Project Management Software, and internet search engines (like Google or equivalent)
* Ability to understand and comply with project requirements as applicable based on client and industry standards
* Basic understanding of scheduling, and the ability to review progress pay estimates and extra work bills
* Ability to recognize hazardous work conditions
* Ability to work cohesively in a team and/or dynamic work environment
* Ability to climb ladders, inspect work above ground, and work in confined spaces
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (i.e. lifting materials used for testing of concrete, AC, etc.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate all materials and parts to ensure they meet quality control standards
Interpret and evaluate all indications
Investigate and resolve limited technical interpretation queries
Check all work by mechanical and electronic inspection methods on the production parts, sub-assemblies, details or components as production progresses to determine accuracy and completeness of layouts and correctness of machining or other processing.
Set up and calibrate nondestructive equipment
Review drawings, specifications, and procedures
Perform specialized inspections
Interpret, evaluate, and report evaluation results
Create corrective plans for defects where necessary
Ensure rejected work is repaired or replaced
Perform routine maintenance checks, reporting improper machine function
Learn to develop NDT procedures for new products and improve procedures for current products
Participates in projects

QUALIFICATIONS:
