Job Description
EXL Risk Control is looking for self-directed independent contractors who possess excellent
communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and
timeliness standards. You will work from your own home or office, and service onsite
survey/inspection assignments in the Kirksville, MO area, and other locations within approximately 45 miles of Kirksville.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for scheduling on-site surveys and providing risk control reports to
insurance industry clients. These reports contain information necessary to underwrite a
commercial insurance policy and may include recommendations to control and/or correct
potential loss producing conditions associated with that policy. You will be expected to
manage assignments you accept, successfully secure customer appointments within a
local territory and complete work assignments on time.
Our Risk Control Inspectors evaluate businesses behind the scenes to identify hazards and
improve safety, mitigating risks for our insurance company clients. The type of businesses
we survey are commercial operations, including retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments,
construction jobsites, churches, schools, etc. Most surveys are focused on assessing the
business for Property and General Liability coverage, but we also service other commercial
insurance lines of business including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability,
Inland Marine and Builders Risk.
Qualifications
Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim,
loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety experience is a plus, but all interested

Summary of the Position
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for maintaining product quality. This role
performs

ests and inspects products, processes, and procedures at various stages of production process to compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Primary Responsibilities

Support in-process inspection of all products.
Accurately record test data, using Epicor, Microsoft Office, and other computer programs.
Communicate and coordinate findings with Quality Management and Quality Engineering.
Understand customer expectations of and needs from all product.
Prepare data for further analysis, as needed.
Attend Meetings on the factory floor.
Secondary Responsibilities
Associate degree in technical field, plus two years of related experience in Quality Control, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
Proven and successful track record working in a similar role, highly desired.
ISO 9001 or other standards experience (ex. IATF 16949, ISO 17025, VDA) highly desired.
Experience in Fire, Automotive or Aerospace industry, a plus.
Quality certification, such as from ASQ, advantageous.
Required Skills/Abilities

Qualifications
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel
This job operates in a warehouse/manufacturing setting where hand tools and parts are used to assemble products, such as pliers, screwdrivers, box cutters, power tools, screws, automatic tape dispensers.
This position must be able to lift 25 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
One (1) year of experience in property management is preferred.
One (1) year of experience in a maintenance position is preferred.
Prior experience using RentManager or a similar property management program is preferred, but not required.
A valid state-issued driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

The Petroleum Inspector is responsible performing the necessary volume measurements, temperature measurements, sampling, calculations, documentation, and reporting which ensures that the customer receives an independent, accurate and complete assessment of quantity and quality of material. Drive to and inspect cabins for maintenance and housekeeping needs and report any issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure all cabins are complete and ready for guest check-ins.
Complete electronic checklists for housekeepers
Assist with light maintenance and housekeeping that is needed in the cabins.
Place inventory in the cabins, remove any damaged items from the cabins, and report to management for billing
Communicate with guests, cabin owners, vendors, and Venture Resorts staff in a professional and courteous manner
