Position Summary
This position is for a Quality Inspector at our facility located in York, PA. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a hands-on role within the organization and interface with both Operations and Product Development teams while performing incoming inspection of materials and components and performing in-process and final inspections of products for commercial and/or government customers.

The quality inspector is responsible for verifying and auditing the quality of the products manufactured in each department working that shift, for communicating to employees and appropriate supervisor any issues with quality and collaborating to resolve any quality issues. Make educated decisions about nonconforming material. If decision cannot be made confidently, include department supervisor or place material on hold for further examination.
Facilitate movement of nonconforming material from production floor, identifying and completing detailed nonconforming material reports, distributing as required.

Position Overview

This position will inspect raw materials, in-process work and finished products for conformance to shop drawings, specifications, and codes by performing the below duties.
Responsibilities
Conduct complete layout inspections, measuring dimensions (length, height, angles, radii, etc.) using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.
Verify quality at all stages: incoming materials, in-process work, and final products.
Visually inspect parts, welds, bolts, coatings, and assemblies; compare pieces to detect variations; enforce standards and legal requirements.
Interpret and apply shop drawings, specifications, ASTM codes, AISC standards, DOT requirements, and welding/bolting/painting codes.
Maintain accurate inspection records, defect lists, and calibration of measuring equipment; coordinate with departments to resolve quality issues.
Support operator training on measurement, visual acceptability, and processes; assist with internal and external audits.
Manage NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) training, testing, certification, and documentation; maintain CWI certification.
Review and approve quality-related purchase orders, reports, and testing requirements.
Assist in developing procedures, quality summaries, and corrective actions; enforce non-conformance protocols.
Serve as liaison with outside inspectors; investigate shop/field errors and support resolutions.
Perform other QA-related tasks as required by supervision.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of welding symbols and diagrams, and inspection tools.
Highly proficient in reading blueprints and other printed instructional material.
Basic Math & Geometry/Trigonometry.
Familiar with variety of weld processes: Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), Sub Arc Welding (SAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and/or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Ability to perform and document inspection activities during fabrication and welding of structural piece members.
Microsoft Office.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively organize multiple assignments, complex assignments, and competing priorities to produce quality reports and results.
Computer proficiency including general office products, design, and business enterprise software.
Reasoning skills and ability to solve practical problems.
Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
Ability to travel to our client facilities.
Ability to perform field inspections at higher elevations and confined spaces.
Must have dependable transportation and a valid driver's license and insurance.
Must be able to pass a fit-for-duty test.
Experience with any of the following: welding, site QAQC, inspection, concrete, steel, and bolting testing.
This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical degree preferred.
Part 107 Pilot License
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
American Petroleum Inspector (API) - 510, 570 or 653.
AMPP coating inspector.
Experience in shop welding and fabrication or quality inspection in other fields.
TWIC Card holder.
OSHA 10hr or 30hr
MSHA Part 46 or 48
Preference given to individuals with exposure to heavy industrial environments and marketplaces.

Position Summary
This position is for a Quality Inspector at our facility located in York, PA. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a hands-on role within the organization and interface with both Operations and Product Development teams while performing incoming inspection of materials and components and performing in-process and final inspections of products for commercial and/or government customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect incoming materials
Perform in-process inspections and/or final inspections on manufactured product
Ensure all materials and product meet Quality standards as per policy and ISO9001/AS9100 procedures
Identify and segregate non-conformances and write non-conformance reports
Support Supplier Quality initiatives

Position Overview
JGM is seeking a talented QC Inspector to join our growing team! The perfect candidate is a professional who thrives on tackling challenges in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This position will inspect raw materials, in-process work and finished products for conformance to shop drawings, specifications, and codes by performing the below duties.
Responsibilities
Conduct complete layout inspections, measuring dimensions (length, height, angles, radii, etc.) using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.
Verify quality at all stages: incoming materials, in-process work, and final products.
Visually inspect parts, welds, bolts, coatings, and assemblies; compare pieces to detect variations; enforce standards and legal requirements.
Interpret and apply shop drawings, specifications, ASTM codes, AISC standards, DOT requirements, and welding/bolting/painting codes.
Maintain accurate inspection records, defect lists, and calibration of measuring equipment; coordinate with departments to resolve quality issues.
Support operator training on measurement, visual acceptability, and processes; assist with internal and external audits.
Manage NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) training, testing, certification, and documentation; maintain CWI certification.
Review and approve quality-related purchase orders, reports, and testing requirements.
Assist in developing procedures, quality summaries, and corrective actions; enforce non-conformance protocols.
Serve as liaison with outside inspectors; investigate shop/field errors and support resolutions.
Perform other QA-related tasks as required by supervision.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of welding symbols and diagrams, and inspection tools.
Highly proficient in reading blueprints and other printed instructional material.
Basic Math & Geometry/Trigonometry.
Familiar with variety of weld processes: Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), Sub Arc Welding (SAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and/or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Ability to perform and document inspection activities during fabrication and welding of structural piece members.
Microsoft Office.
CWI preferred.
Self-motivated, collaborative team member.
Safety focused. Operates equipment and champions safety initiatives.
Education
High School Degree or GED Equivalent preferred
Minimum of seven years related experience and/or training in steel fabrication; or an equivalent combination of higher education and experience in the steel fabrication industry or closely related fields.
