We are seeking a dependable Quality Inspector to perform entry-level and routine inspection tasks to ensure all products meet internal and external quality standards. This role involves visual and mechanical inspections, basic functional testing, and adherence to regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical, physical, and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies according to inspection plans and specifications
Conduct repetitive visual inspections and basic functional testing
Use inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, and micrometers
Complete 10-15 different inspection types as assigned
Support PCI activities for NA Notifications at the US Regional Service Center
Follow all procedural and regulatory requirements, including cGMP compliance
Assist with document archival processes, including scanning and preparing shipments
Initiate Non-Conformance reports and support NC and CAPA activities
Participate in special projects as needed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; AA or Technical Degree preferred
Basic computer skills for documentation and system access
Ability to read and understand work instructions and engineering drawings
Basic written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of medical device regulations and FDA standards preferred

Responsibilities
* Performs nondestructive testing (NDT) utilizing liquid penetrant testing (PT) and magnetic particle testing (MT) methods in accordance with written procedures to meet customer, FAA, and internal processing requirements.

Receive inspected products in the ERP system and label products released for inventory.

Review incoming vendor inspection report submissions for completeness and acceptability. Store these records in an established manner.
Release product for use.
Perform certain In-process Inspections. Review associated records. Release for further processing.
Perform Final Functional Quality Audits of the completed product. Review the final instrument. device history file for completeness and acceptability. Store these records in a conventional manner.
Release product for shipment.

The QC inspector's primary duties include verifying and documenting that the finished products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications and AWS D1.1. The Inspector performs dimensional layout and visual weld inspections on all welds in accordance with the quality inspection procedures. All inspections must be documented on the appropriate inspection forms.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience in blueprint reading and layout.
Ability to achieve ASNT SNT-TC-1A VT Level II or CWI certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with manufacturing steel transmission/distribution monopole structures.
ASNT SNT-TC-1A UT Shearwave Level II and MT Yoke Level II
Experience with galvanizing and coatings inspections.
Knowledge and experience with weld inspection to the requirements of AWS D1.1

Job Summary:
Set up and operate a CMM using PCDMIS software, a contact measurement system that uses automated touch probe technology to accurately measure precision parts. Prepare inspections from engineering drawings and solid models with other customer requirements. Be able to evaluate data and prepare detailed inspection reports. Coordinate inspections with Process Engineers, Production Supervisors and Customer Representatives. Assure that all required inspection is complete and that all required documentation has been completed.
Essential Functions:
Perform precision dimensional inspections of machined parts using CMM and various instruments and inspection tools.
Review Petersen and customer drawings and engineering requirements to formulate and document inspections.
Maintain documentation and records in accordance with Petersen and customer requirements.
Facilitate and assist customer representatives in performing source inspection.
Maintain coordination of inspection efforts with Process Engineers, Production Managers and Petersen Quality Management

Thorough understanding of industry quality system requirements.
Math skills sufficient to calculate geometric and trigonometric functions such as circumference, chord lengths, arc lengths, rise and slope of right triangles, true position deviations, etc. Algebraic skills to perform conversions, mechanical strength determinations, etc.
Minimum Requirements:

What you'll be doing:
Conduct inspections for structural concrete, masonry, steel, and welding in accordance with project specifications and relevant codes
Read and interpret plans and specifications for the elements being inspected

Maintain accurate records, reports, datasheets, and timecards
Perform soil density and concrete testing as needed
