*Position*: Inspector/Packer
*Available Shifts*: 2nd (2:30pm-11pm) OR 3rd (10:30pm-7am)
*Pay: * 2nd: $17/hour, 3rd: $17.25/hour
*Retention Bonus: * $1000 incentive first year of employment - 90 days $250, 180 days $250, 1 year $500

While reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor as an (Inspector/Packer) you will be responsible for collaborating and contributing to the production environment within our manufacturing operations. Safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.

What you'll be doing:
* Perform work on an assembly line using multiple materials and adhesives. Assists in inventory as required.
* Visually inspects, packs, and labels finished parts for shipment.
* Trims, dips, and performs other secondary functions on finished parts as required.
* Uses gauges, jigs, and other measuring devices as required to check product.
* Performs simple set up on equipment and operates machinery as required.
* Move materials as directed for placement in storage and or loading trucks.
* Assists maintenance as required, including minimal routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
* Completes and maintains records according to production and quality standards and maintains cleanliness of manufacturing and storage areas using 5S standards.
* Performs all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of professionalism, quality, and safety.
* Other duties as required.

We are looking for Inspector Packer help at the folding carton plant in
Clinton, IA. The purpose of the Inspector Packer position is to ensure our
customers receive quality cartons. An Inspector Packer visually and manually
inspects cartons for gluing and folding defects and packs cartons into
corrugated cases according to customer specs.

What You Need to Succeed:

Must be willing work 7PM to 7AM shift (the schedule rotates between two groups,
so everyone has equal weekend days off).

Applicants must be detailed oriented, have good math, mechanical, reading
skills and able to follow all safety rules and regulations.

Must have ability to work independently and have ability to be licensed on
material handling equipment.

Manufacturing experience is a plus.

High School diploma or GED

Must pass internal testing and background check.
