The Senior API Inspector will manage the conventional and advanced NDE Inspection crews on their project, primarily in the facilities and terminals related to the oil and gas industry. This role will be required to travel 75% of the time as well as be responsible for directing crews, verifying equipment under inspection has been inspected per industry recommended practice, including damage mechanisms. Is a direct contact between the Client and Audubon Management. Is responsible for safe and successful projects, while maintaining P/L for the project. Reports to the Facilities Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company and Customer safety standards and procedures.
Travels to Clients' locations.
Conducts inspections on piping, pressure vessels and storage tanks within facilities and terminals.
Conducts API inspections on piping, pressure vessels and storage tanks within facilities and terminals.
Willingness to maintain API certifications and ongoing development.
Able to manage projects and personnel successfully.
Program development; key team member in continual improvement of service program to include improvement support of procedures and work instructions.
Ensures quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.
Reads and interprets drawings and schematics.
Assists other Technicians in the field, as necessary.
Able to read P&IDs, PFD, construction documentation, U1A documents.
Able to perform basic calculations pertaining to remaining life, next inspection date, retirement date.
Supports and solicits input and feedback from team members at all levels within the organization.
Works safely and completes all Company and Client Safety daily paperwork.
Adheres to Company policies and procedures in their entirety.
Coordinates with Business Development to identify strategic accounts and play an active role in developing these accounts.
Assists data group with QA/QC of report deliverables on assigned projects.
Uses experience and knowledge, to assist peers and other Company NDE Technicians with questions.
Other duties as assigned by management.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
8+ years of Facility Integrity experience required.
Technical background in NDE methods and procedures.
NDE experience, ASNT TC-1a Level II or equivalent Certification in UTT, knowledge of applicable advanced NDE methods (GUL-XB2, AUT, SRUT, PEC, PA).
Experience in project management functions.
Significant Experience in report writing.
Demonstrated capability to perform the responsibilities of an API Inspector.
Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
Customer management skills.
Able to continually define ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer and market relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively with key customers to identify future needs and effectively positions the Company to capitalize on these.

1. Every month visit and inspect all properties posted for sale, take digital photos, and
upload them daily on PJ picture PowerPoint.
2. Organize inspections for daily property inspections. Complete an average of 10-15 pictures
per day (based on total sales per month) and upload them on PJ PowerPoint daily.
3. Contact property owners on occupied properties to ensure they are informed of the
pending tax sale.
4. Add notes on inspections form and contact neighbors for any additional information.
5. Place a yellow sale sign on the door for all improved properties if no contact
6. Place a big yellow FOR SALE sign on all vacant lots to make owner and neighbors
aware of tax sale.
7. Insert digital pictures and comments on PJ PowerPoint and complete the Presentation for
management and client to view Friday before the interlocal.
8. Attend management (pre-inter-local) and client (interlocal) committee monthly meetings
regarding tax sales.
9. Determine if the property matches the Harris County Appraisal District description and report
any discrepancy to the attorney/Manager also contact HCAD for needed corrections
10. After the interlocal meeting - complete the re-visit of the properties recommended by
interlocal committee client and provide updated status.
11. Provide daily/weekly work reports to management. Give advance notice to management if
not able to meet the deadlines.
12. Order and keep in stock all necessary signs for tax sale notification.
13. Have regular involvement with Post-judgment management and staff.
14. Discuss the monthly work plan for next month, right after interlocal with the manager. Follow
the guideline and meet the deadlines according to the calendar. .
15. Complete extra inspection assignments on no-tax sale cases promptly.
16. Utilize Bad Weather Day: Come to the office and catch up on all office-related
paperwork, uploads, planning one extra visit, follow-up with HCAD, etc.

Position Summary
Performs sampling, pipeline transfers, inventories and barge inspections including line condition surveys. Performs vessel inspections under the direct supervision of a Senior Inspector. Certifies that field assignments conform to company policies and procedures as well as job specific instructions supplied by the Operations Department. As company field representative, acts in a professional and dignified manner to maintain the company's respected and trusted reputation.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with good math skills and a minimum three months of inspection experience.
Must complete Inspector level training and pass corresponding theoretical tests and field evaluations.
Must have or obtain IFIA certification after gaining at least six months of industry experience.
Must maintain a valid Transportation Worker's Identification Card (TWIC). Possess and maintain a vehicle in good working order, a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and registration.
Must be dependable, able to work independently and be able to effectively communicate and maintain professional relationships with numerous clients (i.e., terminal and vessel/barge personnel).
Must pass company defined physical requirements. Must meet and maintain site-specific requirements mandated by customers and/or terminals to have access to all facilities.
Responsibilities
As instructed by the Operations Department and under the strict guidelines described in the Inspection and ASTM/API manuals:
Acts as a Company representative in the field. Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities as per company policies and procedures. Maintains regular contact with Operations Department to receive work orders and schedules.
Effectively communicates all aspects of assigned job duties. Maintains regular contact with Operations Department, terminals, and vessel to avoid delays or conflicts.
Obtains, labels and transports samples to the laboratory in a timely manner as required by each specific job assignment.
Maintains assigned inspection equipment in good working order and ensures equipment is properly calibrated and stored.
Measures (gauge and temperature) products and performs all required field calculations per the API Standards, completes all required field documentation and submits reports to the Operations Department in a timely manner.
Performs specialized inspection services such as loss control, wall washings or confined space entry upon receiving required training.
Assists in the training of Probationary and Junior Inspectors.
Fitness for Duty - Physical Demands
Workday may consist of 8-12 hours; however, this can vary day to day or shift to shift. Much of the work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and could include possible exposure to high and low temperatures for prolonged duration of time. Work may be performed during day or nighttime hours and may involve working alone.
