Set‐up calibration test conditions having various circuit requirements interpreting calibration procedures, specifications, manufacturer's instructions, or related documents. Ability to interpret drawings and electronic schematics. Document and evaluate historical data to determine calibration intervals. Diagnose and calibrate newly acquired complex electronic equipment. NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST: Perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment and material checks. Perform pre‐inspection and post‐inspection cleaning. Set‐up equipment and conduct tests. Interpret, evaluate and document inspection results in accordance with approved procedures. Perform complete inspections in accordance with applicable specifications, standards and other contractual documents. Operate X‐ray equipment and film processor. Select the method and technique to be used for a specific inspection. Prepare and verify the adequacy of inspection procedures. Job Requirements: Five years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. Knowledge of applicable military standards or specifications. Required experience in CMM operations, background in dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y 14.5. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, customer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures. Thorough knowledge of machine shop mathematics including trigonometry. THE OPPORTUNITY Silvus is seeking a Quality Control Inspector who will report to the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor on the OQC team. Primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring proper procedures are followed for incoming electronic and mechanical parts and during the manufacturing and testing process. This role is also responsible for investigating any quality issues, anomalies, or failures and will work alongside engineering and suppliers to recommend any necessary changes or improvements. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi-Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components. Conduct inspections tied to receiving raw materials, parts, components, and fit checks as necessary. Ability to inspect First Article components and subassemblies. Prepare in-process inspection reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Maintain Quality documentation. Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling. Inspector Job Responsibilities: Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor. Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work. Reject all in-coming materials, in-process production, and finished goods products that fail to meet quality standards by specifications or quality criteria through non-conformance process. Assists Quality team members or management with failure and nonconformance data recording and reporting Prioritizes schedules based on product introduction and manufacturing schedules, maintaining a minimum turnaround time. Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing tasks and responsibilities as needed. Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Support the engineering manager or take ownership in resolving quality-related issues in a timely manner Recommend improvements to the production and quality control inspection process to ensure quality control. Be a team member of the quality department and support Production, Engineering and other internal departments to further the interests of the company as a whole. Requirements Written and verbal communication skills Experience with inspecting electromechanical assemblies, machined and metal fabrication highly desired.
