We are currently hiring a Senior Inspector for the Richmond.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Inspector will be responsible for ensuring contractors' compliance through reviewing interpreting and enforcing plans and contract documents for efficient and timely inspection of the contractors work, and shall:
Independently plan, coordinate, inspect, and oversee project inspection activities of roadway, structure, and bridge, maintenance projects.
Monitor contractors and schedules to ensure quality control and contract compliance of moderate to complex construction projects and advise contractors of violations and recommend adjustments to operations.
Apply knowledge and experience toward the inspection of roadways and bridges using VDOT standards, specifications, and procedures.
Apply engineering principles in the inspection and documentation of construction activities and make field measurements of pay items.
Recommend changes to construction plans to meet field conditions or provide cost savings.
Review and monitor EEO/DBE documentation and compliance with contract documents.
Oversee, direct, and review the work of Inspectors and Inspector Trainees
Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation using the VDOT Materials Book & project management software which could include VDOT Site Manager/AWP/Etc.
Complete testing of materials using VDOT testing procedures
Apply Best Management Practices to environmental inspection activities using DEQ standards and specifications.
Apply Best Management Practices to safety activities.
Communicate with various stakeholders including Localities and VDOT
Assist with the development of change orders, investigations, and the analysis of Notices of Intent to File Claims and perform work order analysis.
Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform field and on-site laboratory tests on soil, geosynthetics, aggregates, and other materials primarily associated with landfill and/or waste containment system construction;
Monitor contractor activities on job sites to ensure compliance with relevant contract documents (e.g., technical specifications, construction drawings, sampling plans, CQA plans etc.);
Provide CQA observation and monitoring on several types of construction and/or environmental activities on enviro-civil construction sites;
Perform multi-media sampling in support of investigations, monitoring programs, and other data collection centric projects.
Prepare daily and weekly field reports, construction schedules & progress reports;
Ensure project documentation is correct and consistent with company policy & procedures;
Interact with project personnel (contractors, project managers, engineers & clients) and assist in cultivating an integrated team approach through open lines of communications and participation;
Assist in the preparation of the final data packages, health and safety documents, and the assembly of report appendices;
Observe and abide by the policies and procedures outlined in the site-specific project health and safety plans and the company's Environmental Health and Safety Management policies and procedures; and
Perform tasks in other company practice areas including general construction services, environmental sampling, contractor oversight, or construction quality assurance activities, as needed.

Job Description
The Manufacturing Visual Inspector will join the Civica, Inc. (“Civica”) organization and its newly forming team at the Petersburg, Virginia site. The Petersburg site serves as Civica's new fill finish facility dedicated to the manufacture and supply of essential generic sterile injectable medications. Responsibilities of the position include performing visual inspections on filled product off the filling line following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Visually inspects finished product vials and syringes for various defects.
Performs daily process activities, documents work accurately and timely in accordance with procedures, batch records and cGMPs.
Set up and adjusts operating equipment, such as inspection machines in accordance with procedures.
Performs and documents quality checks on products.
Calculates percent defects on inspection results and reconciles components.
Ability to complete eye exam and complete inspection certification.
Assists other process functions as required.
Proactively identify and work collaboratively to resolve problems.
Basic Qualifications and Capabilities:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be able to complete eye exam.
2+ years of experience performing inspections in a GMP environment.
Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a small, fast-paced, dynamic, environment.
Effective organization skills and attention to detail.
