Key Responsibilities: * Inspection and Testing: * Perform thorough visual and dimensional inspections of all incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods according to established specifications, blueprints, and quality plans. * Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hardness tester, measuring tables, optical comparators, 3D scanning, and CMMs to verify dimensions. * Conduct functional tests as required to ensure components operate as intended. * Verify all accompanying documentation, including certificates of conformity (CofCs), material test reports, and packing slips, for accuracy and completeness. * Documentation and Reporting: * Record inspection results accurately and meticulously in the company's ERP system, quality management software, or inspection logs. * Create detailed reports for non-conforming materials (NCRs), including photographic evidence, and initiate the non-conforming material review process. * Maintain an organized system for all inspection records and documentation. * Communication and Collaboration: * Communicate with the purchasing, production, and engineering departments regarding the status of incoming materials. * Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues, provide feedback on non-conformances, and request corrective actions (SCARs - Supplier Corrective Action Requests). * Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop or refine inspection procedures and standards. * Continuous Improvement: * Assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of quality issues identified during receiving inspection. * Contribute to the development and improvement of receiving inspection processes and checklists. * Identify opportunities to streamline the inspection process without compromising quality. * Safety and Compliance: * Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. * Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and company quality protocols.
