This role will perform sample inspection and measurement of incoming parts and paperwork to satisfy production requirements. This role supports first article inspection of new parts and/or parts from new suppliers. This position will record inspection results and initiate disposition of non-conforming parts. Functions * Daily routine is to inspect parts and material, according to the drawing specification and inspection requirement. * Ensure the Supplier documents and product labeling complies with the Purchase Order, the Quality Assurance Provisions, and the call out of the Industrial Standards. * Ensure the inspection sampling process and inspection records are complete and compliant to the procedures. * Create NCM when nonconformance is identified. * Perform containment action and provide inspection support per MRB requests. * Ensure inventory and transactions are accurate all the time. Be able to do the cycle counting. * Initiate the inspection process for new parts or materials based on the engineering requirements. * Understand the inspection tools and their limitation to ensure the measurement accuracy by choosing the right tools and inspection methods. Job Description The Dimensional Quality Inspector will perform visual and dimensional inspections on a large variety of products using appropriate inspection tools, including CMM and various hand tools while, using appropriate techniques and proceed accordingly to release the product or to hold it, depending on the inspection's results. The Dimensional Quality Inspector will also calibrate and/or repair tools according to the calibration schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Perform and document First Article, In-process and Final inspection on parts according to the Process Plan requirements using the appropriate tools and techniques to ensure product specifications are met. Determine the acceptance or rejection of inspected parts and proceed accordingly. · Verify that manufacturing documentation such as inspection sheet, Process Plan, etc. are filled out properly by the previous operation and act accordingly. · Maintain records of inspection data to comply with customer requirements, TTU's procedures and regulations. · Work Independently and adapt inspection equipment as necessary to stay within production schedule. · Provide inspection data and information to various departments as needed. · Participate in daily Inspection meetings. · Initiate and finalize jobs in the NCPR (Non-Conforming Product) database, when product does not meet specifications. · Segregate non-conforming material (raw material, in-process and finished good) · Participate in Corrective Action Requests projects, whether originating from internal or external issues, collaborating in the identification of Root Cause and Corrective Actions. · Perform calibration on tools and equipment according to procedures, maintain records, and act accordingly if nonconformance is found. · Maintain an organized and clean work environment in the Quality Control Lab. · Strong attention to detail. · Other duties as assigned. The technician will work closely with the Quality Engineer to complete inspections throughout the production process. This involves using measuring tools and techniques to identify defects, ensuring compliance with blueprints and specifications, and reporting any issues to production teams to maintain product quality and prevent further problems.
