RESPONSIBILITIES:

INSPECTION:
Perform inspection on complex parts using a wide variety of measuring and test equipment.

Perform first article and envelope inspections, source inspections, and/or complex surface plate set‐ups. Interpret specifications, charts, manuals and other data to arrive at acceptance or rejection. Recommend changes to supervision. Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimension and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements and military standards.
Layout all component part characteristics onto rough or semi‐machined castings, forgings and machine parts to maintain control of machining cycle during manufacturing.
CALIBRATION:
Perform calibration on complex multi‐function electronic measuring and test equipment.
Set‐up calibration test conditions having various circuit requirements interpreting calibration procedures, specifications, manufacturer's instructions, or related documents.
Ability to interpret drawings and electronic schematics.
Document and evaluate historical data to determine calibration intervals.
Diagnose and calibrate newly acquired complex electronic equipment.
NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST:
Perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment and material checks. Perform pre‐inspection and post‐inspection cleaning.
Set‐up equipment and conduct tests.
Interpret, evaluate and document inspection results in accordance with approved procedures.
Perform complete inspections in accordance with applicable specifications, standards and other contractual documents.
Operate X‐ray equipment and film processor.
Select the method and technique to be used for a specific inspection. Prepare and verify the adequacy of inspection procedures.
Job Requirements:
Five years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. Knowledge of applicable military standards or specifications.
Required experience in CMM operations, background in dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y 14.5. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, customer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of machine shop mathematics including trigonometry. Knowledge of electro‐hydraulic servo systems and the computer IEEE systems. Personal hand tools may be required.

* Assists with QC line inspections, i.e.: Label Placement, QC report, Packaging
* Identify the procedure required to conduct quality test and inspections.
* Follow inspection procedures as outlined in SOP-82-03 Quality Control Inspections.

Main purpose of the Owned Brands QC Inspector role:
This is a full time role for a candidate who can identify the most effective defect recovery process for each item to minimize monetary loss of defective merchandise. He or she will be heavily involved in the QC process through the speccing of garments, evaluation of garments, and providing insight on different garment issues. This is a permanent full time role for a candidate who is able to work in a fast paced, high volume, sku intensive environment while maintaining accuracy.
Major Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Accurately spec garments
• Document defects into current systems
• Comprehend and analyze reports to identify areas of opportunities
• Effectively communicate issues to all involved parties
• Communicate and interact with all cross functional departments, for pulling, mending, Returns, and any other follow ups as needed
• Update QC Tracker, and other relating reports on daily basis
• Minimize monetary loss of defective merchandise through defective recovery process
• Identify the most effective defect recovery process for each item - RA, Restore, Sellable Defect, Other
• Identify defects by inspecting defective apparel
• Clearly communicate with Technical Design Team regarding defective and unacceptable merchandise
• Travel as needed to the Cerritos location
• Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management
Required Competencies:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience working in a QA/QC, Production or Warehouse environment required
• Computer literate in Excel, Word and Email required
• Technical fashion, garment construction and fabrication knowledge preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual highly preferred; proficient in English
A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $18/hr to $19/hr.

How will you make an impact?
The Quality Control Inspector I will be responsible for all aspects of inspection (receiving, in-process and final). In addition, this position will provide QSR support for other QA activities such as calibration, environmental monitoring, product testing, label control, etc.
What will you do?
Receiving Inspection
Receiving inspection of components following procedures, specifications and drawings.
Utilize a variety of standard metrology equipment, including: Optical comparator, height gauge, master height gauge, CMM, Vision Metrology System (VMS, e.g., Smartscope), calipers, micrometers, surface table, gauge blocks, pin gauges, dial indicators, durometer, measuring microscope, hardness testers, pull force testers, surface roughness testers, etc.
Read engineering drawings and interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Review associated paperwork, complete inspection records using good documentation practices, and release components.
Program the Smartscope to run automatic routines for multiple part inspections. (Level 2 and higher)
Write clear and concise procedures for inspection of components, machined tubing, etc. (Level 2 and higher)
Carefully handle and process extremely small components without damaging them.
In-Process Inspection
Perform Line Clearance for Operations activities
Inspect and release labeling
Review device history records for lot release. Ensure all quality records meet good documentation practices in accordance with internal procedures.
Perform inspections on components and assemblies in manufacturing
Final Inspection
Review device history records for lot release. Ensure all quality records meet good documentation practices in accordance with internal procedures.
Perform final inspection on finished goods
Inspect finished goods for proper labels, packaging, tamper seals and product in accordance with procedures.
Coordinate final inspection activities with outside vendors, i,e, LAL, peel testing
Perform in-house peel testing on sealed packages
Maintain sample retain area
Other Duties
Work with engineering in the design of high quality inspection / metrology fixtures.
Support equipment and process validation activities by inspecting process outputs
Conduct periodic compliance audits of manufacturing operations and procedures for cGMP compliance.
Ensures on a daily basis quality records and company practices are compliant with internal procedures and regulations.
Coordinate the monthly environmental monitoring of the cleanrooms.
Coordinate quarterly dose audits.

Medical device experience and working knowledge of QSR a must

Prepare standard and AS9102 First Article Reports as needed
Verify certifications and reports are complete and accurate and can be used for final acceptance and certification of product
Complete Deliverables for Customers and ensure they are complete and accurate
Complete department logs and record yield data as required
Perform preventative maintenance as defined by department maintenance schedule
Support other work areas or departments as required by production or management.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position requiring available to work during standard business hours and mandatory weekend overtime when needed to meet production goals. Shifts may include weekends when schedule details are provided in advance.

Requirements:
Essential Qualifications, Education and Experience:
