What we look for
Required
5-10 years documented experience in sprinkler systems
Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.

The Office of Licensure and Certification (OLC) in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a wage Medical Facilities Inspector for the Tidewater Region's Long-Term Care Team. This position currently offers a sign-on bonus of $2,500 with a one-year written agreement for external candidates. This position will require travel and overnight travel.
This position is for the Long-Term Care unit and will require travel throughout Tidewater:
Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Poquoson, Newport News, Hampton, Windsor, Courtland, Nassawadox, Smithfield, Parksley, Manassas, Sterling, and Annandale (All teams have a few NOVA facilities-Tidewater has four).
Medical Facility Inspectors independently or as part of a team conducts inspections/surveys or reviews of health care facilities for the purpose of licensure and/or certification issuance, maintenance and/or renewal to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and promotion of quality health care practices. Conducts complaint investigations; compiles and evaluates information in determining degree of compliance; communicates findings orally and in writing; reviews and recommends approval, denial, or revisions to health care provider's plan; recommends plan of correction to supervisor when provider is not in compliance. May serve as information resource to health care providers. Position requires travel.
This is a wage position of no more than 29 hours per week and 1500 hours per year.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. May be required by VDH to adjust work hours, location, and job duties and participate in training to meet public health business needs, including emergencies. If this position is designated as a mobile worker, this includes both working in the field and teleworking at an alternate location when not in the field or during an emergency closing. You may be required to periodically come into your assigned office to attend meetings or training.
Minimum Qualifications
• Self-directed individual with specialized knowledge of health care systems and services, quality of care issues & health care administration

Job Purpose:
To ensure compliance of products and processes.
Duties:
Conduct in-process, receipt, and final inspections.
Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Material Rejection Notices) as required.
Work with other company personnel to resolve nonconformances.
Skills/Qualifications:
0-2 years quality control experience
Ability to understand manufacturing processes and the means by which they are controlled
Experience with statistical analysis of manufacturing processes
Strong problem-solving skills
A good work ethic
Good interpersonal and communication skills
High school Diploma or equivalent
Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge preferred
Operation of basic measuring devices
Ability to work on their own
