    Responsibilities Starting Pay: $39.75/hr. * Performs assigned inspection functions in accordance with the Company's GMM, Manufacturer's Maintenance Manual Procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations to ensure that the Company aircraft, engines, appliances, and components are maintained to the prescribed standards of airworthiness and serviceability. Provides quality oversight for all maintenance activities. * Performs preliminary, in progress, hidden damage and final inspections. Performs Required Inspection Item (RII) and Buy Back inspections. * Performs Material Inspections of incoming aircraft components to ensure the use of legal, conforming and applicable parts and materials. * Conducts surveillance and sampling of work performed, maintenance practices and processes to ensure maintenance and documentation is accomplished according to the Spirit Airlines maintenance program. Assures the use of approved data, materials, tools, test equipment and that a high standard of workmanship is present. * Conducts final review of all maintenance documents and SETS records prior to records archival for completion, correctness, use of appropriate references to approved data. Identify and log errors into the Records Error database and generate Record Error Notices for correction. * Review aircraft logbooks for pilot and AMTs reports, deferred maintenance and accomplishment of correct airworthiness release procedures. * Ensure Spirit processes, i.e. Calibrated Tools, Shelf-Life Items, quarantine and scrapped parts, in various locations are accomplished in accordance with company manuals. * As designated and assigned by the Manager Quality Control, accomplish safety and housekeeping checks of hangar and/or line work areas. * Assist the Manager Quality Control in the on-site acceptance checks of additional aircraft to be added to the company's Ops Specs. * Provide guidance and assistance to maintenance personnel in order to train, maintain and enhance compliance to programs, policies, and procedures. * Performs as a Designated Instructor in areas and/ or subjects as qualified and approved by the Manager, Maintenance Training and the Manager Quality Control. * May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).     We are seeking to recruit a Surface Quality Inspector for our location in Jupiter, Florida Strong attention to detail by visually looking at the surface quality of polished optics by using both hands to hold the optic to look thru (transmission) and in reflection to perform the visual inspection of Ø 5mm to Ø 200mm parts. Perform a visual inspection of the optical (glass) lenses against applicable standards ( i.e. ISO10110 and MIL-PRF-13830) using a high intensity light source, or indirect lighting with eye loupes, and/or microscope to identify and find any surface defects (scratches, stains, chips, fractures, etc.) on the lens after polishing or coating. Use the applicable standard to determine if the depth/width of the defect is acceptable or rejected based on the drawing specification. Visual inspection of low/moderate (standard/commercial) grade surface quality requirements (80-50, 60-40 scratch dig equivalent) which are a commonly acceptable cosmetic standards. Perform the inspection of raw glass blanks with documentation and release of material to production. Must be able to use cleaning solvents (alcohol, acetone and others) with special cloth wipes to clean, wipe, and to dissolve and remove any contaminants from the lens before and after inspection. After inspection of the optics, must be able to wrap the lens to protect from scratches, stains, chips, etc. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in a reliable and consistent manner. Must accurately document the description of lenses that do not meet the surface quality requirements, segregate the nonconforming parts from acceptable lenses, and to protect the rejected lens before sending to rework (internally or externally) or transferring acceptable lenses to inventory. May use various measuring instruments to measure physical dimension (in mm and inches). Must be able to escalate observed or potential lens quality or process defects to team lead or department supervisor. Must be organized, meticulous and a conscientious worker to minimize mishandling. Lenses inspected are finished product to be built into assemblies that must be handled with utmost care. Maintain contamination control and cleanliness of the area at all times. Proper safety procedures and process controls will be followed at all times when working with solvents, sharp edges and high intensity light sources. Should be an independent worker who can be focused on their responsibilities under minimal supervision with handling and processing parts quickly and efficiently before sending the lenses to coating (outside process), inventory, or to the customer. Work instructions and inspection training to be provided but individual must be able listen and ask questions, refer to the instructions and notes taken, and retain the information provided to reference back. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma, some college preferred. General knowledge of reading mechanical or optical blueprints/drawings. Use of measuring equipment such a caliper or dial indicators (mm and inch units). General computer skills and aptitude. Experienced in an ISO 9000 quality system work environment is preferred.

Visual inspection of low/moderate (standard/commercial) grade surface quality requirements (80-50, 60-40 scratch dig equivalent) which are a commonly acceptable cosmetic standards. Perform the inspection of raw glass blanks with documentation and release of material to production. Must be able to use cleaning solvents (alcohol, acetone and others) with special cloth wipes to clean, wipe, and to dissolve and remove any contaminants from the lens before and after inspection. After inspection of the optics, must be able to wrap the lens to protect from scratches, stains, chips, etc. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in a reliable and consistent manner. Must accurately document the description of lenses that do not meet the surface quality requirements, segregate the nonconforming parts from acceptable lenses, and to protect the rejected lens before sending to rework (internally or externally) or transferring acceptable lenses to inventory. May use various measuring instruments to measure physical dimension (in mm and inches). Must be able to escalate observed or potential lens quality or process defects to team lead or department supervisor. Must be organized, meticulous and a conscientious worker to minimize mishandling. Lenses inspected are finished product to be built into assemblies that must be handled with utmost care. Maintain contamination control and cleanliness of the area at all times. Proper safety procedures and process controls will be followed at all times when working with solvents, sharp edges and high intensity light sources. Should be an independent worker who can be focused on their responsibilities under minimal supervision with handling and processing parts quickly and efficiently before sending the lenses to coating (outside process), inventory, or to the customer. Work instructions and inspection training to be provided but individual must be able listen and ask questions, refer to the instructions and notes taken, and retain the information provided to reference back. Position Overview ARC Private Provider Services is proactively building a pipeline of experienced, certified inspectors in Palm Beach County to support anticipated future inspection demand under Florida's Private Provider program. While immediate inspection assignments may not be available at the time of application, we are actively identifying qualified inspectors interested in future project-based inspection opportunities as permitted work becomes available. Inspectors engaged through this opportunity serve in a statutory capacity pursuant to Florida law and are compensated on a per‑inspection basis. This is not a full-time or part-time employment role; rather, it is a statutory position that offers flexibility and competitive compensation, with inspection assignments offered based on project approvals, certification(s), availability, and jurisdictional requirements. Compensation typically ranges from $75 to $100 per inspection, commensurate with experience. What You'll Do Conduct inspections for Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in residential and commercial structures. Ensure compliance with Florida Building Code, County and City ordinances, and applicable trade codes. Communicate clearly with clients and contractors to explain code requirements and inspection outcomes. Organize and manage daily inspection routes efficiently. Maintain accurate documentation and submit inspection reports. Update inspection results in permit databases and stay current on code changes through independent research. What You'll Bring Required : Active BIN # (Building Inspector Number) issued by the State of Florida. Certification and experience in at least one of the following trades: Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing OR Bachelor's or Master's degrees in Structural Engineering or MEP Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) AND a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience Strong knowledge of applicable codes (Florida Building Code, NFPA-70, Plumbing/Mechanical Codes). Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the designated counties. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule. Preferred : Multi-trade certifications. Experience with private provider inspections. Familiarity with permit databases and digital reporting tools.
