ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This position designs, develops and updates product shelf box and sterile tray labels, product manuals, quick reference guides, and other customer-facing technical documentation for existing medical device products. As a subject matter expert (SME), this position will collaborate with other team members across the organization including Manufacturing, Quality, Development, Marketing, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, and contract manufacturers to define and maintain product labeling requirements while ensuring the labeling is accurate, visually appealing, cost-efficient, manufacturable, and compliant with applicable regulations, industry standards, and company requirements. OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE Work with product stakeholders to develop and implement geography specific and global labeling strategies for existing products. Work with internal and external stakeholders to define and manage labeling deliverables for existing products including product manuals, quick reference guides, shelf box labels, sterile tray labels, and other customer-facing technical documentation. Attend project meetings and communicate with stakeholders as necessary to define and maintain product labeling requirements. Evaluate, troubleshoot, and maintain existing templates, and design new templates where needed. Develop text, simple graphics, and update illustrations for labeling deliverables. Develop and manage the tools needed (e.g., terminology sheets and style manuals) that ensure consistency across UI terminology and labeling deliverables. Coordinate with contract manufacturers on creating and updating label printing files and ensure labeling requirements can be met. Create and manage change requests for labeling change approval and release. Communicate labeling deliverable timelines to cross-functional team and project manager. Prepare deliverables for printed, e-labeling, or on-line help delivery. Coordinate with translation vendor. Perform first article inspections on labeling. Manage multiple projects concurrently, while complying with good manufacturing practices, quality systems standards, and FDA and global labeling regulatory requirements. Generate and approve design history file documents, device master record documents, engineering change order records, and other quality system documents and records as assigned. Document product and therapy related field reports within the prescribed timelines and provide any necessary documents required to complete the investigation. Provide follow-up reporting as needed. Complete training requirements and competency confirmations as required for this position within the required timeline. Comply with applicable quality system procedures/policies and make suggestions for continuous process improvement. WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM Required: 5+ years of labeling experience and/or technical writing experience from a regulated medical manufacturing industry (i.e. medical device or pharmaceutical, etc.) Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker, In-Design and Creative Suite Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership Proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication or a related discipline Preferred: 8+ years of labeling experience and/or technical writing experience in medical device manufacturing Proficiency with other label software packages such as Bartender, NetSuite, Loftware, Label View or Label Live #LI-Onsite The salary for this position will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. In partnership with the Regional P&O Co-Pilot (POCP) and the DVQ, identify and develop future veterinary talent for leadership roles within the practice. Drive doctor engagement and retention efforts in partnership with DVQ, POCP and operations by implementing strategies to reduce turnover risk and provide consistent support at the hospital level. Support the engagement and retention of certified veterinary technicians (CVTs). Responsible for medical equipment inventory and functionality in assigned hospitals and manage requests for additional medical equipment in partnership with the DVQ and Regional Vice President of Veterinary Quality (VPVQ). Partner with the Practice Manager (PM) to manage medical equipment maintenance and calibration in accordance with practice and equipment supplier standards. Actively participate in local, state, and national veterinary organizations to cultivate relationships within the veterinary profession (i.e. regulatory boards, vendors, associations, and referral hospitals) to promote Banfield's brand reputation. Ensure hospital operations meet all local, state and federal regulatory requirements including but not limited to compliance with controlled substance management and radiation safety. SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION The Pet Care Assistant works with the veterinary medical team to provide and prepare for the best medical care of pets, and to ensure this is provided in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner, influencing clients to return and refer their friends and families. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS · Prepare the treatment room for examination of pets and all necessary medical item and supplies (e.g. vaccinations, fecal loops, slides, etc.) for the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician. Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules and regulations. · Maintain the flow of the Cycle of Service in accordance with position. Provide Client Education regarding preventive care, Optimum Wellness Plans, and basic status of hospitalized pets. Serve as support to the Client Services Coordinator staff on an as-needed basis. · Hold or restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation. · Prepare routine in-house laboratory tests (e.g. canine heartworm, feline leukemia, FIV, and canine parvovirus) as allowed by state rules and regulations. · Monitor the comfort of hospitalized patients. Ensure the comfort of hospitalized patients by "walking", exercising, feeding, and cleaning cages and pet (when approved by the veterinarian or veterinary technician). · Bathe and dip pets when necessary to treat dermatological conditions (when advised by veterinarian or veterinary technician. · Clean the surgical suite and instruments. · Ensure cleanliness of the hospital including but not limited to housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, mopping, cage cleaning, trash collection and removal and instrument cleaning as outlined by hospital protocols. · Other job duties as assigned. This position requires special hours including working weekends and evenings. · Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently. · The noise level in the work environment is moderately high. · Requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform duties while at hospital. · Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds. · Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate equipment. · Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. · Associate is routinely exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication/controlled substances. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING · High School Diploma preferred. · Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography (x-ray) and exposure to radioactive substances. · One year of related experience required with customer service preferred. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS · Pay Range for this role is $15.97 - $19.75/hour.
