Freeform schedule is nice and it pays slightly better than other gig work services.
Gig work services exist to bypass worker's rights regulations, including insurance requirements, taxes, and worker protections. Instacart will use you like a cheap toy and discard you just as quickly.
What benefits? All they offered was coupons for scams.
I would have it follow labor laws and stop abusing contractors.
What interview?
Worse than just being a personal shopper professionally.
Not applicable.
I was quite good at it, and that felt good.
Good pay & great for a student that maintaining school.
Lots of shoppers in the area that I work in causing me to not see some orders.
Shopping for people especially the elderly that I get to create great bonds with.
Never had one
Never met the CEO
I would improve Instacart by letting everyone see the same batches instead of having people in different groups.
Looking for something that could be better than what I get paid now.
N/A
When I get tipped and brought snacks after being out all day.
Making your own hours, locations and shifts.
Some of the policies are completely unfair and one sided like the cancellation policy. And you can never speak to customer service without going through numerous pointless steps first and then due to language barriers have to explain yourself a ridiculous amount of times and hope they finally understand what you’re talking about.
Not answering to anyone but myself.
Idk I’ve never interacted with them.
Improving customer service for drivers.
Didn’t have an interview
About the same
Idk I’ve never interacted with or been introduced to any of these topics
Payday
Set your own hours and choose weather to accept an order or not
The pay in Spokane Washington is HORRIBLE! If you work 10 hours a day you can average Washington’s minimum wage but if you work less than 10 hours your income IS NOT minimum wage EVEN WITH TIPS!
Choosing my own hours
NOTHING! If a shopper has a problem or a question you CANNOT SPEAK TO A HUMAN! You can only ‘chat’ with an associate and they are often less than equipped at solving the issue!
Treat your shoppers fairly! Give them minimum wage for their city not including tips! DO NOT let customers decrease their tips for no reason! I am a 5 star shopper with nothing but great comments. I’ve even had customers ask if I can shop for them again (which instacart doesn’t do), yet sometimes a customer will decrease a tip by $5 or more FOR NO REASON! This SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED! A customer at a restaurant CANNOT return to that restaurant two hours later and ask for their tip back! So why does instacart allow its customers to do that to it’s ‘valued’ shoppers??? Absolutely insane!
No
Being able to make my own schedule
It’s good for Extra money, not a career
Pick and choose what orders you want
I liked the work environment and how we are the same age which lead us to better understand each other.
I did not like that the salary is not aligned to my energy, skill and effort.
The gained a lot of experience and skills. For instance working under pressure, time management and most importantly how to handle customers with respect and openness.
Independence - make your own schedule
I have nothing bad to say
