As an HVAC Service Technician Apprentice at MTech Mechanical, you'll work alongside experienced Journeyman technicians while learning how to diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems. You won't be thrown into the deep end-but you also won't be stuck holding tools forever. This role is designed for motivated individuals who want hands-on experience, structured learning, and a clear path to becoming a Journeyman HVAC Service Technician. What You'll Be Doing: (With support, supervision, and increasing independence over time) Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC/R systems Learn to service systems up to 100 tons cooling capacity and large commercial heating equipment Support preventative maintenance, seasonal startups, and system inspections Read and interpret basic drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation Learn proper documentation using MSI & Keystyle at the job site Follow safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company procedures Maintain tools, equipment, and company-provided vehicles responsibly Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and skills development As skills and experience grow, responsibilities will increase accordingly.
