Run precision and mechanical checks as needed
Communicate QC validation to the customer upon returning the instrument for use
Schedule appointment with customer and set customer expectations
Evaluate validation data and present it to customer (this can be performed by data analyst and reviewed by local FAS or the rep at the second appointment if necessary)
Determines cost effective repair/resolutions to minimize customer downtime
Provides feedback and documents product failure trends and service ability issues
Responsible for ensuring and maximizing customer satisfaction with equipment and related products
Identifies revenue generating and cost saving opportunities.
Maintains expenses within departmental guidelines and controls inventory and all company property
Qualifications:
High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience OR Bachelor's degree in a Biomedical field
2-5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software
Effective communication skills, helpful customer interaction, and organizationally sound
Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting machinery/hardware using established procedures preferably in a laboratory or healthcare setting
Laboratory background huge plus but not required

The Installation Technician 4 will perform installation tasks for AVI-SPL contracted projects including but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components, rack fabrication and wiring, layout for equipment and metal fabrication. Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
Perform installation tasks as noted in job summary based on project scope and directives
Demonstrate job site leadership, provide mentorship to all site Technicians on site and verify quality of work
Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other installation system related tasks
Test point to point cabling, functionality of systems, and code for control and DSP systems - field load as necessary
Support an Engineer or Programmer with minor programming changes
Track, manage and secure all associated equipment and tools on jobsite
Work with office staff to initiate return material authorizations as needed
Support the Project Manager with site supervision of install team, communication of daily job site status, and completion of required job documentation as needed
Act as customer liaison on site per project scope and directives - direct on-site change requests to Project Manager for confirmation and final direction
Communicate and coordinate with other trades on site
Perform client training as needed
Travel to various job sites required

The Installation Technician 4 will perform installation tasks for AVI-SPL contracted projects including but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components, rack fabrication and wiring, layout for equipment and metal fabrication. The Installation Technician 4 will be expected to lead and direct installation crews (internal or subcontracted) on large and complex projects and engage in specific system testing by coordinating and reporting progress to Project Manager ensuring projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

* Demonstrate job site leadership, provide mentorship to all site Technicians on site and verify quality of work
* Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
* Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other installation system related tasks

Join our team at Ervin Cable! Primary responsibilities include ability to splice/test/repair cables/wires in both indoor and outdoor settings, read, create and maintain splicing diagrams, maintain activities surrounding the assigned work site(s), and taking splicing field notes.
A successful Fiber Splicer shall be responsible for proper preparation and splicing of fiber optic cable within a telecommunications system. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; familiarity with fiber optic cable, splice enclosures and the functionality of each; ability to use OTDR and fusion splicing equipment; ability to read fiber matrices; ability to interpret and analyze data; and, ability to identify and troubleshoot problems. In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:
+ the ability to work safely, with or without supervision
+ excellent manual dexterity
+ the ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
+ the ability to fully understand and operate technical equipment, including computers, OTDR and fusion splicing equipment
+ the ability to work comfortably in cramped and/or enclosed spaces for extended periods
+ the ability to lift and manipulate splice enclosures and other plant and equipment
+ the ability to work aloft, either from a ladder, aerial lift device, or by gaffing
+ the ability to work standing or seated at a work table, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods
