Department: Labor and Delivery FTE: 0.90 Full Time Shift: Nights Position Summary: Assist in the nursing care and preparation of obstetrical and/or obstetrical-surgical patients. Function as a member of the sterile team in donning gown and gloves, creating and maintaining a sterile field, and issuing instruments to surgeons. Ensure adherence to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups. Detailed responsibilities: * ASSESSMENT - Complete designated portion of obstetrics triage records; relate findings and co-signs assessment with RN * PATIENT CARE - Perform basic invasive procedures to include blood draws and catheterizations; assist in deliveries * PATIENT CARE - Assist with complicated procedures to include amniocentesis, PBS and emergency cesarean section scrub; set up/clean delivery rooms; prepare and drape patient and operating area; prepare and maintain sterile field for surgical procedures * PATIENT CARE - Provide basic patient care and make rounds; report and record any changes observed in patient behavior or condition, or unusual incidents * SPECIMENS - Assist in maintenance and care of specimens; prepare specimens for laboratory analysis; transport specimens to appropriate departments as needed * TRANSFER - Facilitate patient movement (e.g., admission, transfer) by assisting nursing staff and supervisors as needed * EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES - Work with staff team to gather necessary supplies, equipment and instruments * EQUIPMENT - Set up tables, instruments and supplies required for specific operations * EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES - Decontaminate all equipment, instruments, and supplies * RESPONSE - Respond immediately to surgical supply requests from the Operating Room; must react with a sense of urgency, be courteous and service oriented at all times * SURGICAL SUPPLY - Communicate and find instrumentation requiring rapid turnaround for the next case; understand event related sterility and sterility indicators; check for discrepancies and take corrective action before making delivery of location * SURGICAL SUPPLY - Pick supplies, instrumentation, and other required items for the completion of Operating Room cases; arrange supplies in the case carts according to procedure ensuring accuracy and proper documentation; deliver completed case carts to the appropriate locations as determined by the Surgical Services Department * DATA - Collect and enter required data; prepare reports as directed * DOCUMENTATION - Document all patient care activities * CUSTOMER RELATIONS - Establish and maintain good rapport and effective working relationships with patients, visitors, physicians and Hospitals employees * COMMUNICATION - Handle and relay basic communications, messages * PATIENT SAFETY 1 - Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures and protocols * PATIENT SAFETY 2 - Demonstrate proactive approach to patient safety by seeking opportunities to improve patient safety through questioning of current policies and processes * PATIENT SAFETY 3 - Identify and report/correct environmental conditions and/or situations that may put a patient at undue risk * PATIENT SAFETY 4 - Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors and/or near misses in a timely manner * PATIENT SAFETY 5 - Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and reporting treatment or situations that they don't understand or may "not seem right" Qualifications Education: Essential: * High School or GED Equivalent * Program Graduate Education specialization: Essential: * Medical Assistant Program Experience: Essential: 1 year directly related experience Nonessential: No preferred experience Credentials: Essential: * CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days Physical Conditions: Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Entails complete network system responsibilities associated with the entire life cycle of network development. This includes leading team activities from conceptual design to integration and enhancement of networks. Work with other elements/functions of system design team including software architects and systems engineers, to perform system analyses, performance trades, requirements development and decomposition. Subsequently develop and integrate solutions for the network connectivity and interaction of systems. Analyze customer requirements and support the development of integrated IT and network solutions within a complex, large-scale government facility. Participate in the full life cycle of network system development-from conceptual design through integration, testing, and enhancement. Collaborate with software architects, systems engineers, and other technical stakeholders to conduct system analyses, requirements decomposition, and performance trade studies. Install, terminate, test, label, and maintain structured cabling (fiber and copper) following industry standards and government facility requirements. Perform cable splicing, patch panel work, cable management, and rack/closet organization to maintain clean and compliant infrastructure. Execute Layer 1 and Layer 2 network tasks, including switchport assignment, VLAN configuration, and basic device provisioning. Support wireless infrastructure by installing and connecting access points, performing site support, and validating signal coverage as needed. Integrate physical network components with system-level architectures to ensure reliable connectivity between services, systems, and applications. Troubleshoot connectivity issues at the physical and data-link layers using standard testing equipment and diagnostic procedures. Conduct new access port installations and ensure proper configuration and documentation of network changes. Maintain clear documentation of cabling layouts, network configurations, and equipment installations for compliance and future maintenance. Ensure all work adheres to security, safety, and compliance standards specific to government facilities and DoD/IC environments. As a Dyno Technician, you will be part of the Test Engineering Department supporting the Dyno and Powertrain Testing Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Dyno Technician Location: Santa Clarita, CA Pay Range: $28 - $38/hr (Depending on Experience) What's the Job? Set-up, install, and remove hardware from component test benches. Set-up and calibrate instrumentation including temperature, pressure, flow, PID, and accelerometers. Execute dyno testing under the supervision of a dyno engineer, following test profiles and limits. Maintain and calibrate test cell equipment and general dyno hardware. Review test data, generate problem reports, maintain cell logs, and assist in creating user manuals. What's Needed? Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems and tool use. Practical knowledge of internal combustion engines; experience with electrification hardware is a plus. Familiarity with dyno testing hardware and/or instrumentation; experience with PUMA or National Instruments (NI) software is a plus.
