Master Technology Group (MTG) specializes in designing, installing, and servicing low-voltage commercial property technologies across local and national markets.
The Integrated Security Systems Technician (Traveling) provides customer-focused, workplace technology support to clients, field staff, installation partners, and internal team members. While most support work is performed remotely, occasional on-site assistance may be required locally and nationally.
Supported systems are primarily security-related, including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and EAS. Additional support may encompass network programming, fire alarm systems, data infrastructure, AV, and other low-voltage disciplines.
An MTG Integrated Security Systems Technician must deliver exceptional customer service and cultivate strong professional relationships with clients, vendors, Local Service Partners (LSPs), and colleagues. This role requires technical proficiency, extensive knowledge of low-voltage systems, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Candidates must reside in the Twin Cities area and are expected to perform most of their work from our Eden Prairie, MN office. Periodic job site responsibilities may be required locally and nationally, with travel up to 60% supporting client sites, installations, and service operations.
To assist with critical service issues, the role includes on-call duties as part of daily responsibilities, requiring availability after hours on weekdays. Weekend on-call shifts will be rotated on a scheduled basis to ensure support during urgent weekend needs.
This position reports to the Manager of Technical Services.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support customers, coordinators, field technicians, and project managers with technical advice, troubleshooting, and resource allocation
Collaborate with Business Development and Operations to provide pre-sales and post-sales support for MTG solutions and systems
Deliver remote and hands-on training to field personnel to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, client specifications, and MTG's quality standards
Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting, programming, maintaining, and servicing client systems
Pre-program, build, and stage equipment for installation when practical, to streamline on-site setup
Provide remote and on-site programming and commissioning for client systems
Conduct remote and on-site quality assurance audits to verify system performance and installation standards
Assist installation, service, and coordination teams with technical planning, issue resolution, and commissioning, ensuring systems operate as intended and meet MTG quality standards
Provide user training to client representatives
Provide technical training to field personnel and colleagues
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback to management on processes, efficiency, and client satisfaction
Deliver outstanding customer service and build strong, professional relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and colleagues
Other duties to support the company vision and goals as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of field experience installing, configuring, programming, and servicing video, access control, and intrusion systems
Field experience with low-voltage cabling, data infrastructure, fire alarms, EAS, DAS, AV, and other workplace technology systems is advantageous
Proven ability to design, configure, and program a variety of security-related systems
Demonstrated experience in delivering user training to client representatives and technical training to field personnel
Industry certifications such as MN Power Limited Technician (PLT), NICET Video Security Systems Technician, ESA certifications, or equivalent are preferred
Manufacturer certifications such as Axis Network Video, Milestone, Genetec, Exacq, Bosch, KeyScan, Avigilon, Lenel S2, March Networks, or Open Options are preferred

Key Areas of Responsibility: The Locksmith Technician position is an integral part and is key to the growth of the company. All Locksmiths must have the ability to work well in a high-paced working environment. The individual must work well as part of the team and independently from the FlyLock owner. The Lead Locksmith position is a hands-on technical position geared toward an individual who has a technical mindset. Ideal candidates will have locksmithing knowledge and demonstrate the ability to learn new technical methods and techniques.
The responsibilities of a FlyLock Security Solutions Lead Locksmith consist of the following:
Ability to perform emergency work orders, for commercial clients only.
Ability to install, repair, and maintain Commercial and Residential hardware.
Safe and Card Access experience is a Huge Plus
Ability to install, repair, and maintain Access Control Hardware
Ability to modify hardware for locks.
Ability to create and maintain master key systems.
Residential & Commercial Lock re-keying/ Perform Pining of locks.

Ability to clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate & service equipment used.
Ability to read operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to cut keys by code.
Operations Support:
Receive verbal instructions from Management or Clients/Customers.

Minimum of 2 years experience in technical hands-on field experience in locksmithing, access control, door hardware, and other skilled trades.
Good relationship-building skills with a diverse population including all customers' partners, technicians, and all other company employees.

Good organizational skills.
Able to work with minimal supervision.

Your Impact
We're actively seeking an individual to:
Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups. This includes basic aspects of troubleshooting and diagnostics. Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on-site maintenance.Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.Maintain all technical information and Canon property assigned and provide direction to less experienced technicians.Provide the solutions of escalated technical and/or customer service-related problem areas for any territory requested.

Please note: this is a customer-facing role, and requires compliance with customer policies and protocols, which may include COVID-19 vaccination and other measures relating to COVID-19. We're looking for a dedicated individual with:
HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.A basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.The ability to travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).The capability to work in a 24/7 environment, while performing shift work and on-call rotations.Required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter the customers' premises.Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
In accordance with applicable law, we are providing the anticipated hourly rate for this role: $21.50 to 30.75 hourly.This role is eligible for a transportation allowance.

What you will do:
Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships

Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers

Minimum Qualifications:

The Fiber Splicer completes daily production reports to document work performed/materials used. Operates and performs work in a bucket truck (man-lift experience is a plus). As the Fiber Splicer often works alone, the employee is expected to exercise considerable self-initiation to complete the work and be available for travel.

· Splices, repairs, rearranges and terminates cable facilities
· Installs required splice capsules and hardware
· Tests fiber using Optical Time Domain (OTDR) and fusion splicing equipment for single and ribbon fiber
· Maintains existing plant without causing signal failure interruptions
· Possess knowledge of cable size, gauge, count, and colors of cable direction
· Operates construction equipment or manually excavates as needed
Requirements:
Requirements: 5 years of proven experience as a utility construction Fiber Splicer
Valid DOT Medical Card (or willing to obtain) to operate a commercial vehicle (10,000 lbs. or under)
In-depth knowledge of construction prints, splice schematics, and telecommunications network structure
Must be familiar with distributed split and distributed tap.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to communicate and report effectively, problem solving abilities.
Good physical condition and stamina
Personal computer (PC) experience and familiarity with Microsoft platforms (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
