What you will do:

Responsibilities
1. Conducts specialized examinations in neurological and vascular radiology in order to provide quality patient care. Instructs patients on procedural matters prior to and during examinations to provide optimal information and comfort while effectively completing procedures. Assist the provider during routine and complex procedures by prepping the patient for procedures and functioning in a scrub role as needed to ensure that the activities meet the needs of the team. Performs surgical scrub, and donning gown and gloves. When possible, anticipate Radiologist and patient needs during a procedure.
2. Performs proper patient identification, interprets patient histories and physicians' orders ensuring that all procedures are performed according to Parkland, state and regulatory standards. Set up and prepare room with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment specific to procedures. Utilizes advanced knowledge of sterile and surgical techniques by practicing aseptic techniques.
3. Can speak to and perform the process of preparing contaminated instruments for cleaning, transporting contaminated instruments to sterile processing department, and how to retrieve clean sterilized instruments from sterile processing department. Assist with supply inventory by locating expired supplies and informing necessary personnel when inventory is low, depleted, or on backorder and takes appropriate action.
4. Accesses and handles selected medications and administers contrast. Administers contrast material in the correct dosage, route and observes patients for adverse reactions. Informs and assists physicians and radiologists with patient scheduling, patient transfers, and emergency cases ensuring that all preexam procedures are followed including allergic reaction and level tests.
5. Processes acquired images onto PACS. Ensures that images and records are properly completed with patient identification data and appropriate labeling. Completes exam charges and image documentation in a timely manner.
6. Operates and maintains equipment including warm-up, running quality assurance checks, calibration, provide routine troubleshooting procedures, request repair and notifying supervisor of maintenance needs. Maintains a record of quality assurance tests to ensure that equipment runs efficiently and effectively. Maintains all passwords to each computer system. Participates in all aspects of The Joint Commission Continual Readiness.
7. Serves as a lead worker and resource to other staff as needed. Instructs students and/or new employees on the use of specialized equipment to ensure adequate training and improved patient care. Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures that all processes and procedures are maintained to secure and protect all workstations in all work areas.
8. Responds to inquiries, calls, emails in a timely and professional manner. Communicates hand off regarding patient information, workflow issues, equipment concerns and/or pending exams. Engages in equitable distribution of departmental workloads.

Can speak to and perform the process of preparing contaminated instruments for cleaning, transporting contaminated instruments to sterile processing department, and how to retrieve clean sterilized instruments from sterile processing department. Assist with supply inventory by locating expired supplies and informing necessary personnel when inventory is low, depleted, or on backorder and takes appropriate action.
4. Accesses and handles selected medications and administers contrast. Administers contrast material in the correct dosage, route and observes patients for adverse reactions. Informs and assists physicians and radiologists with patient scheduling, patient transfers, and emergency cases ensuring that all preexam procedures are followed including allergic reaction and level tests.
5. Processes acquired images onto PACS. Ensures that images and records are properly completed with patient identification data and appropriate labeling. Completes exam charges and image documentation in a timely manner.
6. Operates and maintains equipment including warm-up, running quality assurance checks, calibration, provide routine troubleshooting procedures, request repair and notifying supervisor of maintenance needs. Requirements for Hire:
Experience with Dark Fiber Providers:
Minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable experience splicing and testing fiber optic cables for Zayo and other dark fiber providers, with a demonstrated ability to meet stringent quality and performance standards.
Equipment and Software Expertise:
At least 3 years of hands-on experience using Fujikura fusion splicing machines for high-count fiber splicing (864ct, 1728ct, 3456ct).
Minimum of 3 years of experience performing OTDR and OLTS testing with EXFO testing equipment, ensuring accurate diagnostics and reporting.
At least 2 years of experience producing FastReporter reports for network documentation, with proficiency in analyzing and presenting test data.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
Proven ability to perform mid-sheath (ring-cut) splicing on high-count fiber cables.
Familiarity with live fiber network splicing during maintenance windows to ensure minimal service disruption.
Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues on live/active network fiber.
Experience in cable pulling to support fiber optic network installations (required).
Knowledge of cabinet bolting techniques (preferred).
Familiarity with installing basket trays for cable management (preferred).
Experience operating scissor lifts for elevated work (preferred).
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to travel nationally. The average rotation is 10 days out, 5 days home.
Capability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Description
The Splicer is responsible for the terminating, splicing, bonding/grounding, installing CPE into customer house, documenting, and testing of all fiber optic cables within the systems fiber optic networks and their related equipment with the end goal of providing maximum operating efficiency.
This is a field-based position, in which you would be reporting to our warehouse location then traveling out into the field for your work within our Centric communities.
Responsibilities:
This position will consist of FTTH daytime, but possibility of some night work.
Fusion splice, terminate and install assortment of fiber optic connectors and enclosures including both loose tube fiber and ribbon fiber up to an 288ct fiber cable.
Construct a splice case, including but not limited to bounding, slack storage and sealing.
Must know the fiber optic color code system (Must be able to discern colors).
Prepare and maintain splicing records, schematics and diagrams.
Proficient in using fiber tools and fiber optic test equipment including traffic meters, fusion splicer, power meter, VFL and OTDR.
Troubleshoot damaged fiber, effectively and efficiently.
Install and maintain CPE local area networks (LAN) and WiFi networks
Install and maintain network interface devices (NID) and Optical Network Terminals (ONT)
Perform skilled troubleshooting from the MDF to the demarcation point including CPE
Respond to trouble tickets within acceptable company timeframe standards
Perform routine preventive maintenance and major repairs to distribution systems
Locate buried copper and fiber optic cabling
Record and report all record changes immediately
Ensure that both he/she and all employees comply with proper safety standards/ procedures and work practices according to OSHA standards, Future Infrastructure and/or the customer, whichever standard is higher.
Able to participate in on-call rotation 24/7/365 and work overtime with/without prior notice.
Must be able to read, understand and update splice documentation and maps as required.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
1 year of experience with Fiber Terminations, Fusion Splicing and Testing in an ISP and OSP environment.
OTDR Testing and Trace Analysis.
Power Meter Testing.
Experience as a fiber optic technician, fiber optic splicer, construction with fiber optic background, or fiber optic telecommunications.
Clean & Valid Driver's License.
Ability to work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
Up to 100% local market travel and up to 10% travel to all markets in Texas.
Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
Job requires employees to sit and stand for extended periods of time, lift objects up to 50 lbs, grasp, carry, walk, climb, speak, and listen.
Work is performed outside with the exposure of weather extremes such as but not limited to, heat, rain, and cold.
