The position of Facilities Technician will be based in LA and will be part of our FM&C team. The role is West Coast specific and will not have manager responsibilities. The role will be reporting directly to the Sr. Manager - Facilities Management & Construction US.
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within a geographical region. This position will perform general building maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and appliance repair. The Facilities Technician will work alongside the Facilities Department leaders to maintain the aesthetic of our stores and ensure all equipment and systems are functioning optimally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs basic repairs on plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains store systems, equipment, and appliances.
Performs basic routine preventative maintenance activities for all HVAC-R systems.
Orders supplies and materials needed to complete assigned tasks.
Coordinates third party contractor activities and scheduling with Operations.

Perform routine inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and systems, identifying and addressing any abnormalities or deficiencies.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or operational issues using diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical documentation and collaborate with senior technicians or engineers as needed.
Operate and calibrate equipment and instruments according to specifications and standards, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurements and data.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other tracking tools.
Assist in the setup and teardown of equipment and machinery for production runs, experiments, or testing, following safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Participate in training programs and skill development activities to enhance technical knowledge and proficiency in relevant areas.
Adhere to safety regulations, policies, and procedures at all times, maintaining a safe and clean work environment and reporting any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in a "CNC” technical or maintenance role, preferably in metal working manufacturing, aerospace, or an industrial environment.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems and components, with the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions, troubleshoot issues, and work independently or as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required to perform job duties.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and respond to on-call duties as needed to support operational needs.
Preferred Skills:
Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., electronics, mechanics, industrial technology).
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other maintenance tracking software.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Previous experience working with diverse teams and collaborating effectively to achieve common goals.
