Mammography technologists operate a mammography unit to produce images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a physician. They explain the procedure to patients, position and immobilize the patient's breast in the unit, and observe the scanning process.
What you will do:
Checks all images for proper identification, positioning, coning, markers, technologist
initials, and good technical quality according to filming standards.
Ensures that all requisitions are signed, that history information contain appropriate and
relevant clinical information and stickers are used appropriately.
Maintains licensure requirements and continuously improves technical skills through
individual or class instruction.
Monitors processor performance daily through sensitometry procedures.
Maintains accurate patient records and charges.
Operates properly and demonstrate understanding of all mammography and bone densitometry equipment and computed radiograph, direct radiographs, and PACS.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent is required
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiography is required
Current continuing education in mammography required
Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations.
Ability to function in staff technologist role is required
Hospital experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred
Successful completion of 40 hours of mammography training.
Licensure
Current Florida CRT license required
Current ARRT and ARRT Mammography [R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT)]registry required. If not Registered in Mammography at hire, must be within 90days of hire.
Current BLS certification is required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient PET/CT Imaging
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
Explains and prepares patients for PET/CT imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
Performs routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Adjusts PET/CT scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers
Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines

WHAT YOU'LL DO The Installation Technician 2 will perform installation tasks for AVI-SPL contracted projects including but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components, rack fabrication and wiring, layout for equipment and metal fabrication. The Installation Technician 2 could be expected to lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects per project directives and requirements by coordinating and reporting progress to Project Manager ensuring projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements. Day-To-Day Responsibilities: - Perform installation tasks and client training as noted in job summary based on project scope and directives - Demonstrate job site leadership and oversee Level 1 Technicians quality of work - Read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints - Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks - Test point to point cabling and functionality of systems - Track, manage and secure all associated equipment and tools on jobsite - Work with office staff to initiate return material authorizations as needed - Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager - Act as customer liaison on site per project scope and directives - direct on-site change requests to Project Manager for confirmation and final direction - Communicate and coordinate with other trades on site - Travel to various job sites required Items to Consider: - AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary.
