Position Summary:
We are looking for a Crane Service Technician Level 2 for our Jacksonville, FL location.
Responsibilities:
Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
Spend time consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
Generate sales leads during service calls
Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed.
New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Travel may be required. Work vehicle provided.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, as well as the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems. A.A. degree or Equivalent vocational-training or experience is preferred.
A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance
Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
Willingness to work overtime
Possession of a valid driver's license with good driving record
Must pass drug-screen and background check
Strong communication skills
Proven commitment to safety
Comfort with working at heights
Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
Crane maintenance experience a plus.
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
On call or Overtime possible

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Physical Measurements Service Specialist to join our team and play a key role in providing exceptional service and support for our physical measurement instrumentation. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide range of service-related functions, including the repair, maintenance, installation, and after-hours phone support for Shimadzu products.
JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Provide daily repair, maintenance, calibration and installation support for physical measurement instruments.
Perform in-house bench repairs as needed while primarily handling field service calls with limited supervision.
Travel within the local region and other regions if needed (including day and overnight trips) to support customer needs.
Offer technical support via phone to customers and field personnel regarding repairs, maintenance and installations.
Provide training to customers and internal personnel on proper instrument operation and maintenance.
Accurately document all repairs, product failures, and improvements to ensure compliance with company standards.
Assist in the development and execution of preventative maintenance procedures for instruments.
Maintain and control repair parts inventory in the assigned region.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
At least 1 year of experience (2+ years preferred) in field support of physical measurement instrumentation; UTM, Hardness testers, X-Ray, or similar products.
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of physical measurement instruments such as testing machines, or similar products.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Ability to travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays as needed.
Ability to troubleshoot complex instrumentation issues and provide effective solutions.

Compensation & Benefits:
This full-time, non-exempt position comes with a comprehensive benefits package. In your first year, you will receive 10 paid vacation days, 8 paid personal days, 8 paid scheduled holidays and 3 paid floating holidays (Residents of California and Puerto Rico will receive state-mandated sick leave instead of personal days). After one year of employment, you will also be eligible for a generous short-term disability program with the company covering 100% of monthly premiums.
The starting salary range for this role is $79,000 to $81,000 annually, paid semi-monthly. As a non-exempt position, you will be eligible for overtime and double time pay, as outlined in our employee handbook. Additional variable compensation includes an incentive plan based on company and service performance, paid semi-annually in April and October. A year-end discretionary bonus may also be awarded based on overall company performance.
This position includes a company car with a fuel card (with a $55 per pay deduction for personal use) and a company-paid cell phone, which remains company property but can be used for personal purposes.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform minor maintenance and resolve installation issues as needed.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and port terminal policies, including the use of required PPE.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and port personnel to ensure workflow efficiency and timely vehicle processing.
Inventory Monitoring: Assist in tracking accessory and tool inventory, and report shortages or discrepancies.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with occasional/rare Saturdays. Hours vary based on client/company needs but generally have an 8AM start time and 5-6PM stop time; however, some later start times, delayed ending time and/or night work sometimes exist.
Travel Requirements: Our technicians travel throughout FL, GA & SC on a weekly basis. All drive/travel time is performed in company issued vehicles, compensated at full pay rate, covered with company expense accounts and per diem issued.
Experience Requirements: We are looking for entry level electricians, 1+ years of direct industry experience or no experience individuals.
Other Requirements: The individual will be required to furnish their own hand tools such as, but not limited to; screw drivers, scissors, wrenches, sheetrock saw, wire strippers, RJ45 crimpers, glow rods, sockets/ratchets, all forms of pliers/cutters, voltage meter, and any other hand tool needed to accomplish an install or service call. The individual will be required to lift heavy objects such as wire, ladders and other items, must have no felony or criminal record, pass drug screening and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Training: This position requires a four months to one year helper status (depending on the person) and training before you can be promoted to a “Lead Technician” position with issued vehicles, routes, etc. While training you are still required to meet all stated qualifications.
Compensation: This role has a window of compensation that will range based on experience and skill-set. Rates are negotiable and based on those factors but generally range from $16.00/hr - $22.00/hr. Position Overview

Perform comprehensive and regular inspections of facility and residential backup generators weekly to ensure operational readiness and emergency preparedness. Conduct quarterly testing of transfer switches to validate smooth power transitions during outages.
Uphold meticulous attention to detail in all assigned tasks, ensuring adherence to established standards and specifications for personal duties and those delegated to supervised service providers, to maintain quality and consistency.
Support in the organization and management of storage facilities, ensuring efficient utilization of space and easy access to stored items.
Aid in the setup and arrangement of new office spaces to facilitate smooth transitions and optimize functionality.
Coordinate and implement preparations for weather emergencies at ACC and AU facilities to ensure the safety and readiness of occupants.
