About the Role - Solar O&M Technician L2/L3 A leading 3rd party O&M provider for C&I Solar and BESS projects are seeking a skilled Field Technician to support the operation and maintenance of commercial-scale as well as Residential solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems. This role involves diagnosing and resolving system issues, performing emergency and corrective maintenance, implementing design changes, and upgrading equipment. The technician will also conduct preventative maintenance, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspections, system commissioning, and pre-construction site assessments to ensure optimal system performance. This position will be site based and you must live within an hour of the following locations: Westbury NY/Long Island Key Responsibilities of Solar O&M Technician L2/L3 Perform routine O&M tasks including electrical and mechanical inspections, infrared (IR) scanning, torque checks, and site condition evaluations. Respond to system alarms and dispatch as necessary. Document findings and actions in detailed inspection and service reports. Ensure systems are operating at peak performance and efficiency. Manage site upkeep, including vegetation control and general conditioning. Collaborate with project managers to ensure a smooth hand-off from construction to maintenance phases. Coordinate with engineering, operations, and management teams to resolve maintenance issues promptly. Maintain a safe work environment by strictly following safety protocols. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with operational standards. Enforce site-specific procedures and guidelines. Carry out system assessments and QA/QC inspections. Qualifications for Solar O&M Technician L2/L3 Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training/certification. Licensed Electrician and/or NABCEP certification is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. At least one year of experience with commercial battery storage systems preferred. Ability to work independently and remotely. Experience in project or field operations management is advantageous. Familiarity with power electronics, metering, and testing equipment. Knowledge of centralized control systems such as DAS, SCADA, or EMS. Understanding of commercial power plant operations. Proficiency in reading technical documents, including electrical/mechanical drawings and equipment manuals. Experience with CMMS platforms and mobile reporting tools. Working knowledge of NEC, local building codes, and OSHA safety standards (OSHA 30 preferred). Strong troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions. The point I'm trying to make is that being an associate dentist isn't what it used to be. Associates have student loans they have to pay (probably the biggest one), car loans, rent / mortgage, family, life, and the cycle goes on and on. And that's precisely why I'm trying to let as many associate docs know the value of ownership and opportunity cost. Though we averaged a little over 5 mil for our practices, the top owner doc produced $8,864,788 for the year of 2024. I guess he was impressed by the system, so he took over another CLD practice… and this is the doc that became an owner doc after 8 months of graduation. And to complete the range, the bottom number is $1,958,239 while we had one full time and one part time doc on site (four days a week). I own this practice, but didn't have to work in it the whole year and still made this much. These are truly achievable results because, well, we did it and you can come to meet us whenever. And yes, it sounds too good to be true because I feel it too as I'm writing this. But you'll just have to see it for yourself. We're a legit company and we're here. What Will Make You Successful in This Role? * Experience and certification with programming either Johnson FX controllers (CCT) (preferred), Honeywell Spyder, and/or Niagara AX/N4 (any brand). * Experience with ACAD, or similar CAD software. * Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as BACnet MSTP, BACnet IP, Niagara, JCI N2, Modbus, Lon, Etc. * Niagara N4 certification. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and program /design to meet sequence of operations of both design/build projects as well as plan/spec projects. I was in the IBR program where you pay like the absolute minimum. And that's when it hit me. While I was paying the minimum, my principal balance kept going up. I did this for about 3 years without truly knowing what was going on. So yeah, I was making money and invested into real estate, but decided to just pay off over a million dollars in student loans. The point I'm trying to make is that being an associate dentist isn't what it used to be. Associates have student loans they have to pay (probably the biggest one), car loans, rent / mortgage, family, life, and the cycle goes on and on. And that's precisely why I'm trying to let as many associate docs know the value of ownership and opportunity cost. Though we averaged a little over 5 mil for our practices, the top owner doc produced $8,864,788 for the year of 2024. I guess he was impressed by the system, so he took over another CLD practice… and this is the doc that became an owner doc after 8 months of graduation. And to complete the range, the bottom number is $1,958,239 while we had one full time and one part time doc on site (four days a week). I own this practice, but didn't have to work in it the whole year and still made this much. These are truly achievable results because, well, we did it and you can come to meet us whenever. And yes, it sounds too good to be true because I feel it too as I'm writing this. But you'll just have to see it for yourself. We're a legit company and we're here. In fact, we have something called "Item 19" in our Franchise Disclosure document. It's a public, legal document where it shows how much we've made each month for the whole year of 2024.
