The Low Voltage Cabling Technician for Megawatt Construction is responsible for installing, staging, testing, and maintaining structured cabling systems and related hardware within data center fit-out projects. This role includes copper and fiber cabling installation, equipment staging and inventory control, quality assurance, and support of overall data center infrastructure deployment. Key Responsibilities Installation & Deployment Install, route, and secure structured cabling including Cat5e/6/6A, coax, and fiber-optic (single-mode and multi-mode) cables. Build and install racks, cabinets, ladder racks, cable trays, cable baskets, and fiber raceways. Terminate copper and fiber cables to industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, manufacturer specifications). Install patch panels, cable managers, equipment shelves, and associated hardware. Label all cables and infrastructure according to project documentation and QC requirements. Equipment Staging & Inventory Management Assist in receiving, unpacking, and verifying incoming materials, hardware, and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory of cabling, connectors, ladders, hardware, consumables, and tools. Prepare and stage racks, patch panels, cable bundles, and equipment assemblies for installation. Track material usage and report shortages or replenishment needs to the project manager or warehouse team. Organize storage areas to ensure efficient material flow and easy access during project execution. Testing, Verification & Quality Assurance Perform copper and fiber testing using certification tools (e.g., Fluke DSX, OTDR). Troubleshoot cabling faults, continuity failures, polarity issues, and signal loss. Document test results, as-built information, and changes for turnover packages. Maintain high-quality installation standards through proper cable dressing and pathway management. Project Coordination & Documentation Read and interpret blueprints, rack elevations, cable schedules, and scope-of-work documents. Coordinate with project managers, network engineers, electricians, and GC teams to complete tasks on schedule. Follow all change control processes and installation guidelines. Update daily job logs, material tracking sheets, and progress reports as required. Safety & Compliance Follow all data center safety protocols, access rules, and PPE requirements. Ensure installations comply with NEC, local building codes, and industry standards (TIA, BICSI). Maintain organized, hazard-free work areas. Qualifications & Skills Preferred 1-3+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling or structured cabling installation. Hands-on experience with copper and/or fiber termination and testing. Familiarity with data center environments, cable containment systems, and rack build-outs. Experience with inventory handling, warehouse coordination, or equipment staging. Ability to read construction drawings and follow technical documentation. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. BICSI Installer or Technician certifications (INST1, INST2, TECH). Assist the provider during routine and complex procedures by prepping the patient for procedures and functioning in a scrub role as needed to ensure that the activities meet the needs of the team. Performs surgical scrub, and donning gown and gloves. When possible, anticipate Radiologist and patient needs during a procedure. 2. Performs proper patient identification, interprets patient histories and physicians' orders ensuring that all procedures are performed according to Parkland, state and regulatory standards. Set up and prepare room with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment specific to procedures. Utilizes advanced knowledge of sterile and surgical techniques by practicing aseptic techniques. 3. Can speak to and perform the process of preparing contaminated instruments for cleaning, transporting contaminated instruments to sterile processing department, and how to retrieve clean sterilized instruments from sterile processing department. Assist with supply inventory by locating expired supplies and informing necessary personnel when inventory is low, depleted, or on backorder and takes appropriate action. 4. Accesses and handles selected medications and administers contrast. Administers contrast material in the correct dosage, route and observes patients for adverse reactions. Informs and assists physicians and radiologists with patient scheduling, patient transfers, and emergency cases ensuring that all preexam procedures are followed including allergic reaction and level tests. 5. Processes acquired images onto PACS. Ensures that images and records are properly completed with patient identification data and appropriate labeling. Completes exam charges and image documentation in a timely manner. 6. Operates and maintains equipment including warm-up, running quality assurance checks, calibration, provide routine troubleshooting procedures, request repair and notifying supervisor of maintenance needs. Maintains a record of quality assurance tests to ensure that equipment runs efficiently and effectively. Maintains all passwords to each computer system. Participates in all aspects of The Joint Commission Continual Readiness. 7. Serves as a lead worker and resource to other staff as needed. Instructs students and/or new employees on the use of specialized equipment to ensure adequate training and improved patient care. Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures that all processes and procedures are maintained to secure and protect all workstations in all work areas. 8. 🔧 Field Service Technician 📍 Marlin or Buffalo, Texas | Full-Time TARGAN is transforming animal health and food production with next-generation poultry technologies-and we're looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Texas team. This role is ideal for a mechanically skilled, customer-focused technician who thrives in the field. You'll be responsible for ensuring the performance and reliability of TARGAN's advanced chick sexing equipment, directly supporting broiler hatcheries in College Station, Palestine, Waco and other hatcheries in the area. What You'll Do Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on TARGAN's chick sexing equipment during overnight hours. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electro-mechanical systems. Train hatchery staff on the proper operation and maintenance of TARGAN systems. Maintain accurate service reports, parts inventory records, and customer communication logs. Partner with engineering and research teams to provide field performance feedback and suggest improvements. What We're Looking For Electro/Mechanical degree or 1-5 years' technical experience (automation, poultry production, or related fields). Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to read blueprints, electrical & pneumatic schematics. Excellent communication & customer service skills; able to work independently. Valid driver's license; able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel daily to customer sites. Shift, Travel & Work Environment 1st shift, early morning hours position supporting hatchery operations. Work performed in poultry hatcheries-warm, humid environments are common. Daily travel to customer sites with occasional overnight stays. On-call support may be required on weekends or holidays.
