Job Overview The Trailer Mechanic / Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on trailers and related equipment.     About the role The HVAC - Apprentice main focus will be to assist customers with their electrical furnace needs. Key responsibilities of an HVAC apprentice: * Maintenance tasks: Performing routine maintenance checks on existing HVAC systems, such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting for potential issues. Repair support: Assisting with identifying and diagnosing problems in HVAC systems, including checking for leaks, faulty components, and electrical issues. Basic repairs: Performing minor repairs under supervision, like replacing damaged parts or fixing simple electrical connections. Tool handling: Learning to use various HVAC tools and equipment safely and properly, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments. Schematics: Reading and understanding schematics to understand system layouts and component locations Safety protocols: Adhering to all safety procedures and regulations related to working with HVAC systems. Customer service: Interacting with customers in a professional manner, explaining issues and providing basic information about HVAC systems On-the-job training: Actively learning from experienced technicians by observing their work, asking questions, and participating in discussions about system operations and troubleshooting.
