Responsible for accurately mapping out the placement of components based on provided diagrams and ensuring the system is effectively sealed against weather conditions, following safety codes and manufacturer specifications.
Ensure all insurance certificates and any relevant workers compensations statutes are in place prior to the commencement of work.
Evaluate specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, as well as any necessary staffing requirements for each phase of the project.
Conduct thorough testing and ground measurement post installation and make any needed adjustments to ensure proper functionality.
Interprets specifications and company policies to subordinates and/or contractors and enforces safety regulations.
Analyze and resolve job site conflicts including, but not limited to, employee complaints and/or grievances.
Collaborate and assist Project Managers with site inspections, permitting, as well as establishing per site budgets.
Ensure proper panel positioning and alignment for optimal energy production.
Responsible for accurate labeling, installing, and terminating electrical wiring and/or connections.
Responsible for maintaining open and effective communication with subordinate supervisory personnel, regarding all activities within each job while ensuring occupational health and safety of all SEL Construction employees, subcontractors, project teams, clients, guests, and assets in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, departmental and company policies, as well as industry standards and practices.

Physically place, remove, or modify working and non-working equipment including the following:
Cable trays and/or racking.
Data equipment cabinets and frames, data servers, switches, routers, repeaters, bridges, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, firewalls.
BDFBs and fuse panels.
Identify, label, measure, terminate and physically route the cables that supply AC and/or DC power or transmit data in various technical spaces.
Conduct testing and document performance characteristics of hardware and software; determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system.
Perform advanced test and turn-up as well as other integration activities.
Resolve equipment and technical issues as they arise.
Read, analyze, and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs)
Perform quality validation on in-process and completed work.
Complete operations paperwork (e.g., expense reports, timesheets, job documentation, etc.) including daily job status reports as requested.
May oversee the work of less experienced installers; assume responsibility for the successful completion of installation projects.
Act as a customer contact; interface with customers and local supervisors regarding project status
Interact with all members of the organization including Installation, Engineering, Project Management
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and experience with transport equipment including Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Calix, Adtran, Nortel, Nokia, etc.
Background in fiber optic cable and AC/DC power installation and testing practices

What you will do
As a critical part of the team, the Commercial Installer works onsite with our commercial customers to set up and program their Integrated Security fire and security systems. The Commercial Installer also dismantles and reconstructs equipment when necessary.
