The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial ductwork installation and the ability to work well and mentor others! In this position, you will be responsible for installing new ductwork in various commercial buildings such as retail, office, restaurant, labs, and more.
This position requires keen attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. Our typical working locations include the Greater Boston Area, South Shore, North Shore and Southern NH, and we strive to keep all of our employees working at job sites close to their homes whenever possible. The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for:
Work alongside the Sheet Metal Foreman and perform the installation of commercial ductwork systems, including ductwork, grilles, dampers and more according to blueprints, specifications, and industry standards.
Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to products being fabricated or installed.
Interpret specifications, blueprints and work orders as needed for an area of supervision.
Install and direct installation of assemblies in buildings or worksites.
Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules using knowledge of equipment, materials, and the capabilities of assigned personnel.
Analyze and resolve work problems.
Maintain time records and coordinates schedules.
Provide input for project estimates and schedules.
Works in conjunction with the assigned project manager to coordinate project schedules, deliveries, and activities
Maintain high standards regarding safety, quality and professionalism on job sites at all times.
Qualifications:
Journeyman License preferred (schooling is provided for those who have not yet achieved their license)
Extensive experience in ductwork installation, ideally including management of others across one or more job sites.
Ability to interpret plans, project specifications and equipment submittals. If you do not have these skills, training can be provided.
Valid Driver's License in good standing.
High School diploma or GED.
Ability to multitask and communicate with GC, subcontractors and office support staff.

Vector Media is searching for a trusted and diligent Bus and Bus Shelter Ad Installer to join our Operations team in Providence, Rhode Island. This position is an integral part of our local day-to-day operations of our advertising program. The primary functions of the Bus Ad Installer are to complete and record the installation, maintenance, and removal of advertising graphics on vehicles and fixtures (including buses, bus shelters, and stations) throughout Providence and the surrounding area.
