Responsible for performing heavy duty crane modifications, installations and repairs to damaged cranes and crane parts, plus crane repair and maintenance work in accordance with Custom Truck and factory standards under the general direction of the Crane Shop Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Installation and removal of different types of crane and crane equipment.
Modification of crane truck wheelbases.
Installation and removal of crane truck suspensions.
Perform work as outlined on crane order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Custom Truck and factory standards.
Fabrication and installation of components related to crane equipment installations.
Keeps shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all tools at all times.
Ability to follow both written and verbal installation instructions.
Uses and maintains all necessary shop equipment required to complete any crane repairs or PM inspections.
Disposes of used oil, grease, antifreeze and filters in the assigned location to insure EPA compliance.
