Institute of Real Estate Management company history timeline

1944

Originally named the Farm & Land Institute, it was organized in 1944, and has been dedicated for over six decades to improving the professional competence of its members in land brokerage.

1947

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc. (NAREB) was founded in Tampa, Florida, in 1947 as an equal opportunity and civil rights advocacy organization for African American real estate professionals, consumers, and communities in America.

1963

NAREB has played varying influential roles in the implementation of equal rights, fair housing, equal opportunity, and community development legislation at the local, state, and federal levels since its founding. It was the 1963 California legislation that propelled NAREB into national prominence.

1971

Founded in 1971, the Georgia Chapter of IREM is internationally recognized, year after year, as one of IREM’s largest and most successful Chapters.

2018

Roberta decided to take action and called upon an up and coming millennial speaker, Jonathan Jones, to speak to IREM Fort Worth a Texas Chapter in her region on May 17, 2018 with 45 real estate professionals in attendance.
