Physical Requirements:

* Prepare instructional materials for small and large group daily activities. Prepare nutritional snacks. Modify materials and assist with lesson plans for inclusion of special education students in general education classroom participation. Provide in-class support for students. * Assist general education students and students with special needs including toileting, diapering, self care (e.g., brushing teeth, washing face and hands, changing clothes, etc.), eating and tube feeding, transportation, communication.
* Assist students with physical needs, including positioning and transitioning students using specialized adaptive equipment.
* Assist in monitoring student's progress, and documenting student activities and abilities.
* Monitor and implement behavior support plans throughout the school including monitoring on the playground to ensure safety and security of students.
* Supervise children entering and exiting the bus and during recess.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Ability to demonstrate independence and initiative in implementing instructional programs at a preschool level.
* Ability to be flexible and work as a team member with preschool teachers and group leader.
* Ability to demonstrate caring and nurturing for young children, yet able to be consistent in implementing established routine.
* Physical stamina and ability to be able to lift children and conduct activities on the floor and at the children's level.
