The position helps to achieve the mission, implementation, and goals of the Eagle Access Program at Dyersburg State Community College. This is a grant funded position through the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging (DDA). This position works directly with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The position reports to the Director of Eagle Access. Home location of this position is at the JNC in Tipton County but will need to travel to Dyersburg Campus two (2) days a week. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist 20 hours per week in the Eagle Access program Initial assignment may be one or two of DSCC's teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester dependent on demand. Build relationships with new and current students in the Eagle Access program. Assist and aid students in the program with academic progress, social/emotional well-being, employability and independent life skills development. Work with a range of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
