GENERAL SUMMARY
The InstructionalDesigner serves in a collaborative role focused on course design and learning experience. This position is primarily responsible for working with Subject Matter Experts, Nurse Planners, and Program Services division staff to implement educational initiatives. The designer oversees the entire course design lifecycle, including analysis, development, and evaluation. Key responsibilities encompass the analysis of learning outcomes, the design and development of educational materials, and the implementation of accredited emergency nursing education programs. This role uses modern course authoring tools to deliver an authentic learner experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies principles of adult learning theory such as the A.D.D.I.E model, to the evaluation, design and development of all synchronous and asynchronous learning content, activities and experiences. Follows all current industry best practices to deliver the curated course content
Evaluates instructional requirements to ensure relevance, quality, and consistency, offering consultation for all courses to foster the development of engaging and educationally sound emergency nursing learning experiences. Ensures alignment with policies, standards, and educational objectives, while providing timely updates and necessary revisions.
Conducts research on emerging digital instructional technologies and recommends their integration as instructionaldesign solutions for the development of innovative delivery modalities and digital learning experiences. Utilizes existing learning management systems and digital development tools, including Articulate, Adobe, and TechSmith Camtasia, Canva to enhance instructional content.
Applies project management skills during the design, editing, and review of digital learning products to ensure resources and scope align with established deadlines.
Manages, designs, and develops various video media for inclusion in all educational programming.
Acts as a direct resource for other departments within the organization, offering expertise in the design, development and editing of products that extend beyond digital learning initiatives.
Contributes to the workplace culture that is consistent with the association's culture statement and emphasizes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, in instructionaldesign, education, or equivalent field
Minimum of 3-5 years of instructionaldesign experience, preferably in healthcare

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This position is an exempt/salaried position. The targeted salary range is $73k-$79k annually. Compensation is determined based on a range of factors, including experience, education, certifications or specialized training, skill level and operational needs.

Overview of Position
Under the supervision of the Director of SEL, the Social Emotional Learning Specialist (SEL Specialist) will play a critical role in the implementation of the positive culture at By The Hand. The SEL Specialist will provide counseling and support to students, and work with students, parents and staff to develop plans for student success. This position will begin in September and last 32 weeks. Those weeks exclude holiday breaks.
Role Responsibilities

Works as part of a multidisciplinary team including team leaders and directors to ensure continuity of care and services.
Monitors progress, attendance, and discipline of students assigned.
Identifies and coordinates with other social service providers and community partners to provide students with supplemental services.
Maintains appropriate files and records including progress notes.
Adheres to the legal and ethical requirements of their profession.
Observes students in classroom settings.
Performs all other duties as required and assigned.
