This is a hybrid position in Norfolk, VA working a traditional work-week. The position requires three days on campus each week with two remote work days. Many of our operations can and should continue as usual, even when the main physical campus is closed. ARNG G-2 IS3 provides the ARNG and its strategic partners a full spectrum of services to support; intelligence and security training including exercise and deployment support, individual and collective training development and delivery, operations and security services including enterprise intelligence operations requiring multiple intelligence discipline expertise, engineering support to include technical insertion Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and prototype integration, life-cycle logistics for equipment readiness support to support soldiers and equipment, as well as ancillary IT products and services to increase the ARNG Intelligence Warfighting Function (IWF) readiness.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for instructional delivery of intelligence-related curriculum in support for training requirements at Marine Corps Intelligence Schools (MCIS) Regional Intelligence Training Center (RITC). The RITC instructor will support the development course materials based on analysis of tactical unit requirements at respective RITC locations. RITC instructors coordinate with management personnel to identify, schedule and deliver intelligence training as required by Marine Corps operating forces.
MCIS RITC instructors identify, develop, and implement training solutions designed to enhance Marine Corps tactical intelligence capabilities supporting global operations. Instructors, in coordination with the MCIS RITC-Lead and the MCIS HQ Project Manager, conduct training and assist with effectiveness of training evaluation in support of Marine Corps customers at various geographic locations.
Conduct and facilitate intelligence training as directed for the RITC effort.
Assist in identifying training deficiencies and requirements from operational units.
Directly support the development and implementation of training solutions.
Provide training deficiency analysis, including evaluation, for training development and improvement.
Conduct operational unit command engagement with intelligence training leaders for training requirements and coordination of deliveries as required by the RITC Lead.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 8+ years of experience with intelligence, or 12+ years of experience with intelligence in lieu of a degree
Knowledge of Marine Corps Intelligence operations, including company-level intelligence, collections management, and intelligence analysis methodologies
Knowledge of Marine Corps formal instruction processes and the Systems Approach to Training (SAT)
Ability to deliver instructor-led intelligence training and facilitate classroom and field-based learning events
Ability to identify training deficiencies and support development of intelligence training solutions

The Recreation Leader supports the Department's Recreational Programs within the City's community centers, special events, and Parks which includes various day camp programs, such as Stay and Play after-school program, athletic events, community special events, and facility operations. The primary duty of the recreation leader is supervising various age groups of children that participate in the programs; with ages ranging from 6-15 and providing customer service. Related duties include but are not limited to: Assists with the planning and implementation and participates in activities appropriate for ages 6-15 in the programs; supervises full facility and activities for participants of all ages. Supervises children from ages 6-15 for the Summer Blast program; assist with facility supervision and program support at events, games, and programs. Interacts with children in active and passive games; ability to make fair game decisions, some knowledge of game rules; ability to read directions; and divides children into equal age groups. Requires active participation in field trips and center settings and various crafts, activities and games. Provides excellent customer service that meets the expectations of the City's Customer Service Initiative, while following set standards for providing customer service to participants, parents, coaches, volunteers, officials, spectators, and citizens; responds to inquiries, rule interpretations, and communicates program and event information. Resolves conflicts between children in a calm and orderly manner; report behavior issues to management staff and parents. Responds to accidents and injuries, may perform basic first aid. Submits written reports, of accidents/incidents, equipment, and inventory needs, to the supervisor in a timely manner. Prepares, organizes, and sets up/breaks down equipment at the facility, sets up various athletic and recreational equipment, tables, chairs, waste receptacles, may perform some field and facility maintenance and prep for activities and events. Breaks down after the event and performs general custodial duties such as trash pickup, sweep floors, clean restrooms and pack/load equipment. May assist with processing program registrations and collect payments. Controls the disbursement, collection, storage of equipment, and overall site inventory. Inspects facilities and play areas for safety/damage, enforces safety rules and regulations, and maintains organization.
Required Qualifications
VOCATIONAL / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT : Requires instruction that is sufficient for satisfactory job performance. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT : In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this position requires a minimum of one month of full-time equivalent experience. SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES : Requires CPR and First Aid certification within the first year of employment. May require a valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City Driving Standards . SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications
Must be engaged in a recreational based academic program or similar youth/education program. Must have ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing; ability to use a telephone; read and interpret rules and regulations. Requires a degree of mobility that would allow for interaction with children in active and passive games. Must have the ability to lift and set up tables and chairs and organize site equipment.
